Day 2 – Sun. June 7: Athens / Half Day City Tour of Athens After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide in the lobby for you half day city tour. With a recorded history of 3,000 years, Athens is the capital of Greece and among the most interesting places in the world. This tour gives you the opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guide will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896 (short stop). Continue and pass by the Temple of Olympian , the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library and Constitution(Syntagma) Square. At the you will visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon. Continue and visit a must-see in Athens: the New Acropolis Museum. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (B)

Day 3 - Mon. June 8: Athens / Full Day Cruise to the Saronic with Lunch After breakfast at the hotel meet for the Full Day Cruise to the . Take a day cruise from Athens to the fabulous Greek islands of , and for a relaxing day on the sea. With all your transport, transfers and buffet lunch organized, (a delicious lunch and Greek folklore show aboard your ship are included), you can sit back and enjoy your leisurely day cruise with free time on each island to explore. After transferring from Athens to the port by motor coach, you'll set sail for the island of Poros, where you'll have free time for strolling and shopping. Head ashore at the colorful capital and enjoy around two hours to look around on your own. As you approach the island of Hydra admire the colorful harbor and get tips from your guide on what to see and do on the island. You will have about 1.5 hours at leisure to enjoy the unique charms of Hydra island, whose amphitheater shape once served as a safe shelter for Saronic Pirates. Amble down the narrow lanes, relax over coffee, or buy souvenirs in the quaint shops. From the decks, you will be able to admire the very special architecture and dramatic landscapes of this island, whose old traditional stone houses and mansions silently stand witness to a long and turbulent history. Upon arrival in Egina (Aegina) a guided excursion to Egina's ancient Temple of Aphaia is also available (at additional cost) your own expense or take a walk around the main town. Aegina is one of the Saronic islands of Greece in the . The lovely island is only 31 miles (50 kilometers) from Athens and is a popular getaway for Athenians during the summer months. Return to your cruise-boat and sit down to enjoy a Greek folklore show of traditional music and dancing as you sail back to the port. Day 4 – Tue. June 9: Olympia After Breakfast we depart Athens and head to the strategically located Corinth Canal (short stop). Continue to and visit the majestic ancient theatre, world famous for its outstanding acoustics. Proceed to the beautiful seaport town of Nauplia (short stop) and through the plain of Argos arrive to Myceane. Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Learn about the classical Greek culture as you walk through this impressive archaeological site. In the afternoon depart for Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Day 5 - Wed. June 10 : After breakfast, set off with your guide and visit the impressive archaeological site of Olympia. Marvel at the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Depart via Patras to Rion, cross the Corinthian Bay by the famous bridge to Antirion. Pass by the city of Nafpaktos and from there on, along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. Day 7 - Fri. June 12: Meteora Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit the breathtaking Byzantine . This UNESCO World Heritage site is home for more than 20 rock monasteries. Discover the natural beauty and the cultural heritage of this area. Return to Athens late in the afternoon passing the heroic monument of Leonidas at Thermopylae. Day 13 - Thu. June 18: Crete (Heraklion), Santorini (B,L,D) • Arrive Crete at 7:00 am for free time until departure at 12:00 am. • Arrive Santorini at 4:30 pm for free time until departure at 9:30 pm. Crete is known for some of the most significant attractions in Greece: famous archaeological sites such as the Minoan palaces of Knossos, Phaistos, Malia and Kato Zakros. Visit important monasteries, some built in the 15th century or even earlier, including Preveli monastery in southern , the monasteries in southern Heraklion and the historic Arkadi and Toplous monasteries. Santorini is a volcanic island located between and islands. It is famous for amazing scenery , stunning sunsets from Oia town, the strange white aubergine (eggplant), the town of and naturally its very own active volcano.

Day 14 – Fri. June 19: Arrive Piraeus and departure back Home Arrive Piraeus at 7:00 am. Be picked up and transferred to airport in Athens.
