Welcome Welcome to our pre-application community consultation for a proposed development which includes high quality housing, playpark and open space on a site at Hillsborough Old Road.

On all our major projects we consult with local people before submitting a planning application. This enables us to take on board any feedback we receive from the local community and helps inform the design of the proposal before a planning application is lodged to Lisburn and Castlereagh Borough Council.

Under normal circumstances, consultation with the wider public on the proposal would take place through a public event. The Department for Infrastructure has introduced guidelines (The Covid-19 Emergency Planning Guidance (Pre- Application Community Consultation)) for consultation on major projects to take place through alternative methods replacing a public event whilst social distancing restrictions were in place.

All feedback provided during the PACC process is to the applicant, not the planning authority. Following the completion of the ‘PACC’ period, our intention is to submit a planning application to Lisburn and Castlereagh Borough Council.

Proposed Site Layout

The site layout is organised to maximise the separation distances between neighbouring properties and respect the densities found in the wider area. The landscape design will aim to enhance the visual character of the development with hard and soft landscaping, which will integrate the development into the surrounding landscape. Traffic & Parking Access Point 1 off the Hillsborough Old Road Communal car parking provision for apartment block Two in curtilage car parking spaces has been provided for each dwelling and on street visitor car parking provision is also provided. Communal car parking has also been provided for the apartments.
