Chris Petersen's Authentic Cowboy Blend of Country Music Has Given A Chris Petersen’s authentic cowboy blend of country music has given a voice to fans who have felt left behind in the age of pop country. With a sound reminiscent to country songs of the 90’s, Chris has drawn influence from artists like Chris Ledoux, George Strait, and Merle Haggard. With hard hitting vocals that cut above the driving beat of the band, Chris Petersen’s performances stand out to create a fun, foot stomping experience. Chris' electric performances were proven when he was crowned champion of Country Battle USA 2019. Bands from LA to Nashville came to compete for a $15,000 first place prize. After a standing ovation on thier final set, Chris and his band were selected by a panel of 5 judges and fan voting as the winners of the event. In July of 2020 Chris appeared on season 15 of Americas Got Talent. Judge, Simon Cowell, called the performance, “brilliant” and later “genius.” Heidi Klum added, “I really think America would fall in love with you guys.” When all was said and done Chris received “five yeses” including one from Simon’s dog Squiddly. Chris' 2019 album, “Cowboy Coming Home” reached the BILLBOARD CHART for the Mountain Region in the TOP TEN of all genres. This is a feat not easily attained by an independant artist. For his 2019 album Chris teamed up with producer, Trent Willmon. Trent is a seasoned singer/songwriter who has written songs for countless artists including Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Montgomery Gentry, Little Big Town, Cody Johnson, and many more. As a producer Trent has had exceptional success. Trent produced a 2019 Billboard #1 Album, Cody Johnson's, "Aint Nothin to it. Trent Willmon said the following about working with Chris, “I feel like Chris Petersen has one of those timeless voices. It’s a rare honor to get to work with a real cowboy with such a tireless work ethic and great attitude, and an authentic sense of who he and his audience is. I feel like this is a classic album with timeless songs that people will enjoy for decades.” Chris has performed at venues across the country including Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. Chris was also contracted by Rodeo Houston, Days of 47 Rodeo, and many more. Chris has years of experience playing energetic shows for country music fans.     Deana Carter DEANA CARTER, the daughter of famed studio guitarist and producer Fred Carter, Jr., grew up surrounded by musical greats, including Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Waylon Jennings, and Simon & Garfunkel. Our evening activities will begin at 7pm at the Ira Allan Sports Henry Bradford Park. Henry Wells Bradford has been named Grand Marshall of the Helicopter Ping Pong Drop 2012 Mapleton Pioneer Day Celebration festivities and parade. This will be our third annual bike giveaway. Adults must be present Bradford’s heritage and years of service to his country, to register your child prior to the event and receive a wristband. Led by pacesetters such as Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and Bobby Bare, artists in Nashville and Austin demanded the creative freedom to make their own country music, different from the pop-oriented sound that prevailed at the time. This exhibition also examines the cultures of Nashville and fiercely independent Austin, and the complicated, surprising relationships between the two. Students will examine the causes and effects of the Outlaw movement through analysis of art, music, video, and nonfiction texts. In doing so, students will gain an understanding of the culture of this movement; who and what influenced it; and how these changes diversified country music’s audience during this time.
