The Role An incredible opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Publicist to join our London team. The right candidate will be a strong writer with a proven track record of running multiple successful PR campaigns; confident in independently managing a diverse roster of artists and able to help deliver successful new business pitches. WMA works with a variety of clients that include major/indie label signed artists and several entertainment brands. The position is charged with developing and executing best in class PR campaigns for WMA’s clients and will include all aspects of account management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Delivering innovative PR campaigns to position talent, brands and WMA as industry leaders, especially in the digital space • Building and maintaining strong media relationships with UK publications/platforms • Working closely with our client roster to deliver stellar campaign results • Covering artist promo and attending showcases, gigs, sessions as needed • Working closely with the other services within WMA to offer a bespoke streamline service and amplify activity • Writing new business proposals and being involved in all aspects of the agency’s new business strategies • Assisting the Senior PR team on their campaigns, where needed • Weekly and monthly reporting SKILLSET: • Ability to maintain and manage a wide variety of PR campaigns (music, entertainment, tech etc.) • Ability to help deliver new business opportunities • Ability to write press materials including press releases and tailored pitches • Coordination of client media coverage and reporting • Great relationship building skills • Genuine interest and active knowledge of digital marketing and communication • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written • Highly creative • Can take on and solve problems • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail • Must be highly self-motivated, solution-oriented, and work well in a fast-paced environment while under pressure • Enthusiastic, passionate team player REQUIREMENTS: • Proven experience in music PR • Positive, can do attitude and passion for music and entertainment • Relationships across the music industry including with labels and management companies • Experience in managing 6+ accounts • Previous experience in entertainment and/or consumer brands • Established relationships with media • Stellar track record of securing top-tier placements • Self-reliant, organised, professional, hyper-communicative, problem solver and results oriented • Maintain consistent communication and contact with clients WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING WITH? • London Publicity team • Clients - brands, talent, labels, talent management • Media • Other teams at WMA - Strategy, Creative, Partnerships & Digital Channel Management Start Date July 2021 Salary Competitive.
