More than 1,000 officials and experts come to COG each month to make connections, share information, and develop solutions to the region’s greatest challenges. There is no place like COG for this level of coordination in our region. From transportation planning and community services to environmental efforts and homeland security and public safety initiatives, COG connects leaders from across the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Kenyan McDuffie Virginia to collaborate on issues affecting the entire region. As a result 2017 COG Board Chairman of the hard work of our members and staff, we have made significant strides this year to help make metropolitan Washington a more prosperous, accessible, livable, and sustainable region. In 2016, we worked with our partners to enhance the region’s economic competitiveness
