The Project aims to promote growth and balanced development of the whole National Capital Region through providing economic base in the identified major settlements (Metro Centres/Regional Centres) for absorbing economic development Sub Pro ort – p impulse of Delhi, efficient transport network, development of physical infrastructure, rational land use pattern, improved environment and quality of life. In line with the objectives of the Regional Plan, the primary objective of this project are to improve quality of life and well-being of urban residents in the National Capital Region (NCR): This will be achieved by way of support to various agencies in the constituent States through NCRPB a line of credit to compliment the ongoing efforts of NCRPB in financing the regional Plan priorities and technical assistance to improve quality of

ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND MINISTRY OF EARTH SCIENCES (SHRI Y. S. CHOWDARY) (a) Augmentation of the observing system networks including Automatic Weather Station (AWS) network is a continuing process that shall be taken up as per the emerging needs from time to time. (b) India Meteorological Department (IMD) has installed 706 AWS in the country so far. Out of the 706 AWSs, 129 Agro- AWS are installed at Agromet field units located at various agricultural research stations in each of agro- climatic zones (having clusters of districts in each such zone). Efforts are being made in consultation with various agencies and year mark sitesfor the prposed installations (National Capital Region, Eastern India and Western and Central Himalayan Region) of AWS. The list is attached in Annexure-I. (c) Yes, Madam. (d) Various measures being taken up to avoid and rectify malfunctioning of AWSs. These are; Awarding AMC with penalty clauses for ensuring continuous availability of quality data in real time.

Due to its agricultural importance, Firoz shah Tughaq gave attention and created canals. The peoples of Jhajjar faced rule of many dynasties as sultanate and Mughal and local nawabs .Every ruler of these dynasties built many structures in Jhajjar for many purposes. Key-words: Monument, Jhajjar, Sultanate, Mughal, Heritage, Mosque, Baoli. Introduction: Jhajjar is a town of Jhajjar District (Haryana) is located 32 Km South of Rohtak and 56 Km West of Delhi. Jhajjar lies of the confluence of Indo-Gangetic Plains.1 The town is said to have been found2 by one Chhaju Jat and Named Chhaju Nagar which was changed to Jhajjar. It is a historical town. In the Sultanate Period, Rulers started digging Canals in this Area. One of the five Canals created by Firozshah Tuglaq brought water from Sutluj to Jhajjar. During Akbar’s Reign this Area was a part of Delhi Province. After the fall of Mughal Empire. This Area was passed into many hands until the Jats defeated the Nawab of Farrukhanagar and established their Rule. In later period, king George Thomas made Jhajjar as his Head Quarter. In 18033, General Lake gave this Area of Jhajjar to Nawab Nijabat Ali Khan and its renamed under the Nawabs till 1857.
