WORSHIP THEME: “Go Ye Now” Matthew 28:16-20 After His resurrection, some disciples doubted His presence even though Jesus was standing right in front of them! Even in their disbelief, Jesus reminded them that He would always be with them and that they had a large task to accomplish- to make disciples of all nations and baptize them in the name of the Holy Trinity. OPENING PRAYER Pastor: Oh Lord, how majestic is Your name in all of the earth! There is no one who compares to Your majesty. All throughout the earth there are lost souls who still need rescued from their sins. You’ve called us to go to the ends of the earth and spread Your true light in the midst of the darkness. As we are gathered together today and in Your Word, fill our hearts with boldness and confidence by Your Holy Spirit. It’s in the majestic name of Jesus Christ we pray. People: Amen.
TIME OF CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS Pastor: Father God, Creator of heaven and of earth, and Lord of all, You created this world originally to be good and free of sin. But sin entered the world through the choices of humans and we are guilty of sin today. People: We must pay the penalty of our sin, which is death.
Pastor: Just as sin entered through man, so did righteousness through the Son of Man who reconciled us to You through this death on the cross and resurrection. Because of this free gift of salvation, we are made whole and are no longer in debt to sin. We have the choice to accept Your Son’s sacrifice and receive eternal life! People: What good news that the Father loves us so much that He sent Jesus to pay our debts! We accept this gift of forgiveness and eternal life through Christ, our Savior.
Pastor: Let us not keep this Good News hidden, but instead, fulfill the Great Commission of sharing the Gospel with the world! People: Yes, we will be bold in our faith, by the grace of God! Amen.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Pastor: As we speak together our affirmation of faith, let our hearts be strengthened by the power of the truth. People: In the beginning, it was God who created the heavens and the earth out of empty void. This void was carried into the hearts of humanity as sin entered the world.
Humanity was doomed. With every sin, a chasm was formed between God and man. The wrath of God had to be satisfied, and no immortal would due. But a perfect plan was already in place; a plan that saved the world. God humbled Himself as a man, Jesus Christ, and sacrificed Himself on the cross for the sins of the world. He reconciled us to God, the Father, shattered the chasm between us. Through Christ, we have been given eternal life and commissioned to spread this Good News to everyone. As Jesus ascended into Heaven, He sent us the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit dwells in believers today. He leads us in the way of righteousness and constantly points our hearts toward God. The more we spend time in prayer and reading the Bible, the more we can know the Holy Spirit.
All three, God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit, are three in one. Praise be to God!

Pastor: How comforting it is to know that the God we serve formed us with His perfect plan in mind. For, He knew that sin would enslave us, yet He offered us freedom through Jesus Christ, His begotten Son. This was God’s plan all along, to love us, even while we were still sinners. People: Even in our sin, the Lord lavished His love on us.
Pastor: Through His broken body, this bread, and His shed blood, this cup, we remember the gift of our Savior. People: We praise You, Risen Lord, for the forgiveness of our sins and the shedding of Your blood to cleanse us.
