JOHN KELSO (Sgt. Corlino) IS appearing in Sullivan for his twelfth season. The versatile actor-dirctor has reaped rave reviews for both positions. Last season. season at The Little Theatre-On The Square. As during past seasons, we have had our ups and downs, successes and failures, but on the whole I trust that you have 8 been pleased with ourselection of shows, and the quality of our productions. This 4 has been a season of considerable variety beginning back in April with the wonderful and zany Jo Anne Worley in Goodbye Charlie followed by Virginia 4 Graham and Jay North in Butterflies Are Free, George Maharis in Here Lies Jeremy Troy and Dick Sargent in Charley's Aunt. Our musical season began in mid-June with a revival of Irma La Douce starring fhe beautiful and talented 4 Lesley Ann Warren and continued with productions of Damn Yankees starring Gary Collins. Camelot starring George Chakiris, the everpopular Rosemary Prinz 4 in Applause, daytime TV's most popular actor, Bill Hayes in.The Fantasticks (America's longest running musical), handsome Harve Presnell making his first Sullivan appearance in On A Clear Day You Can See Forever and Allan Jones in the beloved operatta, Blossom Time. Our fall season of plays has concluded the 17th year with Hollywood's Ann Miller and beloved Margaret Hamilton in Noel Coward's Blithe Splrlt and our current production, Wait Until Dark starring Mod Squad's Michael Cole. In addition to the name stars in our productio?~.we have 4 been pleased to present some of America's most talented actors and singers including Bob Moak, John Kelso, Floyd King, Leona Evans, Catherine Christensen, Lowell Harris, Edgar Meyer, Mary Best, Jay Stuart, John Remme and Kathy Taylor in a variety of outstanding roles. And our wonderful directors George Bunt, Bob Baker, Bill Gile, Randy Hoey, Louis Scheeder, Asaad Kelada, and Frank Scardino have guided our productions with such enthusiasm and dedication. With the conclusion of the current season, we have presented o total of 195 major productions and 2,282 performances since the doors of The Grand Theatre first opened on July 3, 1957 presenting 'live' entertainment on the north side of the Square in Sullivan. 4 The staff, cast and company of The Little Theatre-On The Square sincerely $ appreciate the cooperation, encouragement and loyal support of our season g ticket patrons, those holding discount cards, the many groups that attend the W theatre from all over the state, the student groups, and of course, the individual d theatre patrons who attend one or two productions each season to see their 8 favorite 'star.' 4 Depending upon the release of recent Broadway plays and musicals and the availability of outstanding stars, we hope to open the 18th season late next 4 spring. Season tickets for 1974 will go on sale December 1st and we encourage our patrons to make reservations as early as possible to guarantee the desired $ seating location for the entire season. 4 We welcome your suggestions as to shows and stars you would like to see in Sullivan. And again, thank you for your wonderful support during 1973 and the J previous seasons - I do hope to see you often again in the upcoming future seosons. , 1
