Day 02 – Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires City Tour Premium (3 hours)

Buenos Aires is one of the most fascinating cities in both Latin America and the world. Be it for its splendid and varied architecture, with its old Colonial buildings, French palaces and state‐of‐the‐art skyscrapers; for its vibrant nightlife and endless cultural options; or maybe just for the rich identity of the Porteños, who proudly bear the European heritage of their ancestors, more and more visitors are coming to visit.

At the first stop you will discover the history of “May Square”, the site of the most important historical events and where their protagonists made history since its foundation where you can see its surroundings, the most emblematic buildings, and learn all about them. Then enjoy May Avenue and wonder in awe at the oldest residential neighborhood in Buenos Aires: San Telmo. Walk along its cobble‐stoned streets and discover its antiques shops and picturesque buildings. Live and feel the original Tango in the neighborhood of La Boca: walk along “Caminito Street” and enjoy the dancers and souvenir shops. See the mythical Boca Juniors soccer stadium. Contemplate the modernization of the city whilst traveling along “Madero Port” and its exclusive docks, full of excellent restaurants and large office buildings. Pass through the Retiro neighborhood and move on to see Palermo and its most exclusive residential area before finally arriving at Recoleta. Once there, discover the final resting place of Eva Peron, “Evita” and wander through Recoleta Cemetery where she is to be found.

Free afternoon at leisure

During evening, dinner and tango show with transfers included at La Ventana Website: http://www.laventanaweb.com/

In the very heart of San Telmo neighborhood, this refurbished historic conventillo is a classic building of the Buenos Aires culture. La Ventana is a trip to older times. The interior architectural style is preserved, and creates the ideal setting for a unique experience; 35 artists in scene, two tango orchestras, a folklore band, dancers and singers; a menu that consists of several traditional and international dishes, and a list of excellent Argentine wines

There is no navigation in Puerto Piramides during April and May. Along the way we have good chance of viewing animals such as guanacos, rheas, foxes, cavies, armadillos and skunks, among others.

Whale Watching in Peninsula Valdés by Yellow Submarine (This activity can be replaced during different periods of the year) Unlike the conventional watching service, the semi‐submersible submarine Yellow Submarine allows us to watch whales submersed in their environment. Underwater, the perspective looks completely different, which is comparable only to the experience of diving among them. While they remain close to the vessel, we watch them all the time through the 40 viewing windows on the lower deck. On board, passengers can walk around at their pleasure on the submersed lower deck, or on the outdoor upper deck and watch the whales from the surface of the water, as a conventional watching.
