Be it for its splendid and varied architecture, with its old Colonial buildings, French palaces and state‐of‐the‐art skyscrapers; for its vibrant nightlife and endless cultural options; or maybe just for the rich identity of the Porteños, who proudly bear the European heritage of their ancestors, more and more visitors are coming to visit. At the first stop you will discover the history of “May Square”, the site of the most important historical events and where their protagonists made history since its foundation where you can see its surroundings, the most emblematic buildings, and learn all about them. Then enjoy May Avenue and wonder in awe at the oldest residential neighborhood in Buenos Aires: San Telmo. Walk along its cobble‐stoned streets and discover its antiques shops and picturesque buildings. Live and feel the original Tango in the neighborhood of La Boca: walk along “Caminito Street” and enjoy the dancers and souvenir shops. See the mythical Boca Juniors soccer stadium. Contemplate the modernization of the city whilst traveling along “Madero Port” and its exclusive docks, full of excellent restaurants and large office buildings. Pass through the Retiro neighborhood and move on to see Palermo and its most exclusive residential area before finally arriving at Recoleta. Once there, discover the final resting place of Eva Peron, “Evita” and wander through Recoleta Cemetery where she is to be found. After a one‐hour drive we arrive in Puerto Piramides, where we take a boat tour (optional) to do whale watching of Southern Right Whales (Eubalaena australis) between June and December, and of Southern Sea lions (Otaria flavescens) and cormorants between January and March. There is no navigation in Puerto Piramides during April and May. Around noon we leave for Punta Delgada to have lunch (not included) at the Lighthouse complex (*ask about minimum charge*), where we have the chance of walking down to the beach to take a closer look of the elephant seals. Then we depart for Punta Cantor to observe the peninsula’s Atlantic coastline, and we reach the initial stretch of the Valdes Inlet (Caleta Valdes). After the observation and interpretation of the coastal geology, we drive back to the Ameghino Isthmus for a tour of the Visitor Centre. Along the way we have good chance of viewing animals such as guanacos, rheas, foxes, cavies, armadillos and skunks, among others. Whale Watching in Peninsula Valdés by Yellow Submarine (This activity can be replaced during different periods of the year) Unlike the conventional watching service, the semi‐submersible submarine Yellow Submarine allows us to watch whales submersed in their environment. Underwater, the perspective looks completely different, which is comparable only to the experience of diving among them. While they remain close to the vessel, we watch them all the time through the 40 viewing windows on the lower deck. On board, passengers can walk around at their pleasure on the submersed lower deck, or on the outdoor upper deck and watch the whales from the surface of the water, as a conventional watching. In this trip, we will go through the main and most important parts of the park. Around noon, as we are walking, we will have a very special panorama of the unique ecosystem of the Tierra del Fuego. The guides will give you an experience filled with the passion they have for these locations, creating an unforgettable moment for our guests. Overnight accommodations at Albatros Hotel Meals: B Day 7–Ushuaia Estancia Harberton + Trek + Penguins ‐ National park tickets not included We depart in the morning, via national route 3, to its intersection with the famous route “J”, where we turn into the coastal zone, bordering the river valley Lasifashaj, almost to the mouth of the Beagle Channel in Brown Bay. The first activity of this trip is to get to know the oldest stables in Tierra del Fuego, the “Estancia Harberton” where we will board a zodiac to go to visit a colony of Megellanic penguins andshentoo. After we learn a bit more about them, we will head back to the estancia (ranch) where we will learn about its history and present day workings. Por the afternoon, we will enjoy a box lunch and begin to walk along the coast of the river Lasifashaj, there is a unique waterfall that is the product of the narrowing of the river valley. We will enjoy the unique solitude and unforgettable landscapes. We will also get to know the Puerto Almanza and in the afternoon we will return to Ushuaia. During the trip you know beautiful places in the Andean foothills, along the south bank of Lake Argentino. After crossing the river Centinela and Mitre, was reached at Brazo Rico to enter the National Park Los Glaciares. Bordering the Lake Rico began to spot the icebergs floating on the water until we can finally appreciate the full extent of this natural wonder has been declared by the United Nations as World Heritage. Safari Boat The tour is a voyage of one (1) hour by the Lake Rico, who can appreciate the majestic south wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. This glacier ice wall is about 60m high and 100m below lake level. The boat comes about 200m from where the glacier touches the Magallanes Peninsula and then goes at length (about 3km) south wall allowing you to enjoy the landslides that occur daily and the magical beauty of its seracs, cracks and intense blue.
