AUCTION RULES

(Applicable to the Special Monthly Sales of Suckler Cows) 1. Calving dates given as a result of Pregnancy Diagnosis (PD’ing) by the Vet are for guidance only and do not convey any guarantee with respect to the future date of calving. Purchasers must allow a 2 month tolerance either before or after the date given before any claim for keep may arise, in accordance with paragraph 4 below. 2. When an animal is stated to have been served not less than twelve weeks prior to the sale proves to be not in calf and a Veterinary Surgeon’s Certificate to that effect is produced within 43 days of the sale date, the animal shall, at the Purchaser’s option (a) be returned carriage paid by the Vendor and the full purchase money and keep costs in accordance with the rates in Paragraph 3 refunded; or (b) be retained by the Purchaser and a sum shall be fixed by the Auctioneers and paid by the Vendor to the Purchaser forthwith in full
