She photographed John Lennon on the day he was assassinated, and her work has been used on numerous album covers and magazines. She and her mother took a trip to Japan, where she bought a camera and began taking pictures. When she returned to school, Leibovitz enrolled in a night class in photography. "I was totally seduced by the wonderment of it all," she told a writer for Art News. "To see something that afternoon and have it materialize before your eyes that same day. She also does various pre-shoot research on the people featuring in the photoshoots, this is so she can get a insight to their lives beforehand to improve the photoshoot quality. I really like the soft lighting in all her pictures that are aesthetically pleasing to look at. Dislikes What I dislike about Annie Leibovitz photography is that some of her photographs rely heavily on editing and not post production such as the Disney photoshoot, whereas the photoshoot with the queen seems to be less edited and natural..
