Sydney Olympic FC 2 - Blacktown City FC 3 at Belmore Sports Ground Blacktown City has flexed it’s PlayStation®4 NSW Men’s premiership credentials with a hard fought 3-2 win against Sydney Olympic FC at Belmore Sports Ground on Sunday. City looked on track to cruise to an easy win before an inspired second half performance from Olympic forced a nervous finish for the visitors. An own goal from Yianni Spyrakis in the second minute was compounded by a Daniel Araujo strike in the opening exchanges, while Danny Choi had the result seemingly wrapped up inside the first half with a goal five minutes from the interval. However, the game would take a dramatic turn during the second 45 minutes as a Yu Kuboki double gave Olympic hope of a miraculous comeback. Blacktown move to third on the ladder after the win, only one point behind leaders APIA Leichhardt Tigers, and are one of two undefeated side remaining in the competition.

Manly United FC 3 - Rockdale City Suns 3 at Cromer Park Two goals in the last five minutes from striker Jordan Figon rescued a point for Rockdale in a pulsating 3-3 PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition draw with Manly United on Sunday afternoon at Cromer Park. The home side were shell shocked at the final whistle, shattered they had just thrown two points away. It was a match filled with twists and turns as Harris Gaitatzis gave Rockdale an early lead before Manly raced away when Scott Balderson and Dejan Pandurevic hit the back of the net. An own goal for Rockdale just added to their frustrations as they headed for what seemed like a demoralising defeat before Figon chipped in with his late game heroics.

lacktown City FC bounced back from a B2-0 loss to Bonnyrigg White Eagles with a comprehensive defeat of Sydney Olympic in the last round of fixtures, a 6-1 win at Belmore Park that puts the hosts in good stead for their round 8 matchup against Manly United on Saturday afternoon. Manly United travel to Lilys Football Centre a week after their round 7 loss to Rockdale City Suns at Cromer Park, a result which saw them slip a place in the table to eighth. Depending on results elsewhere, Manly could move as high as fourth with a win here, while Blacktown City can only hope to keep pace with Sutherland Sharks; in second place and four points behind the competition leaders. This fixture ended in a 3-1 win for the visitors in 2016.
