A simple drawing might provide hope for the 5.3 million people living with Alzheimer's disease in the United States. , Alzheimer's, a brain disorder in which the body destroys brain cells causing memory loss, has no cure, but scientists and researchers say art therapy can help patients recall memories and stay lucid longer. Douglas Blevins, of Port Clinton. Ohio, has been living with Alzheimer's for 11 years. Douglas, 69. and his wife Marian ignored the symptoms for four years before they finally went to the doctor. By then, Douglas' Alzheimer's had advanced from moderate to severe. Unfortunately, his Alzheimer's had advanced too far for him to be a candidate for art therapy. SeeART|Page2

^^ MEXICAN GHIlt SEE VIDEO OF BERGERON'S PRESS CONFERENCE

Log on to www.bgnewssports.com to watch Chris Bergerons first press conference as head coach of SPORT the BG hockey team. The right attitude.. After ten years with one of the top programs in the nation, new BG coach Chris Bergeron brings a winning attitude to the Falcon bench.

"Chris Bergeron has played a key role in Miami's hockey program growing in national prominence. He has proven to be an excellent recruiter and will bring great energy and passion to his role as head coach at Bowling Green. The future of BG hockey will be very bright under his leadership."

"As a player, Chris was a very good leader for Miami when it was becoming a national power. He took his leadership abilities into his assistant coaching position and helped the program succeed even more. It's a very good hire and I have no doubt that Chris will help Bowling Green get back to the level they want to be back at and are used to being at."

Chris has an incredible passion for the game. He can't wait to get to the ice every day. He has a genuine desire to help student-athletes develop on the ice, in the classroom, and in the community. Everything he does, he's going to do the right way. He's an outstanding recruiter and has a great understanding of the game. He understands the importance of leadership and what it means to a team."

Bowling Green is in good shape with Chris at the helm. It's bittersweet for us because we're excited for him, but we are losing a big part of our program. His passion and commitment to the game makes him an excellent choice."
