Wednesday, December 28 McLain earned his second hat trick of the season, and marked a team-leading Northern Michigan at Cornell six shots on goal in addition to one blocked shot.

Thursday, December 29 With his second hat trick in a three week timespan, McLain is the fi rst WCHA Michigan vs. Michigan Tech skater with multiple hat tricks in the same season since 2011-12. McLain is Col Coll/Merrimack vs. Northern Michigan also on his way to tying the Bowling Green hockey record for most in a single Ferris State vs. Robert Morris season. Bob Dobek had fi ve hat tricks in a season in the 1973-74 campaign.

Friday, December 30 >>MOOSE MCLAIN Bemidji State at Alaska Anchorage Junior Mitch Mclain was named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week for the WMU/Mich St. vs. Michigan Tech third time in a four week time span after marking his fi rst game-winning goal of Bos Coll/Quinnipc vs. Ferris State the season in the 6-3 win at Alaska. It was McLain’s team-leading 11th goal of Alabama Huntsville vs. Massachusetts the season putting him on a two-game point streak. The Baxter, Minn. native RIT at Bowling Green has earned points in 14 of the Falcons 22 games and is fourth in the WCHA Lake Superior State at Omaha with 1.05 points per game, and second overall in the conference with 0.52 goals per game average. It is just the second time in school history that Bowling Green has Mark Friedman, D been ranked in the fi rst USCHO.com poll of the year since the poll was initiated Chris Nell, G for the 1997-98 season, and improved from a No. 16 ranking at the start of the 2015-16 campaign.
