JACKSON, WY. (January 5, 2016) — Dan Carter, EUKANUBA Stage Stop Race Director, announced the Competitor lineup for this yearʼs event. In order of completed registration postmarks received, they are Jerry Scdoris from Bend OR, Jeff Conn from Ester AK, Austin Forney from Leadville CO, Alex Stegmann from Fort Nelson BC Canada, Buddy Streeper from Fort Nelson BC Canada, Jerry Bath from Lander WY, Bruce Magnusson from Cheyboygan MI, Al Borak from Cheboygan MI, Dennis Laboda from Grand Marais MN, Chris Adkins from Sand Coulee, MT, Emilie Entrikin from Fairbanks AK, JR Anderson from Cook MN, and Gerry Willomitzer from Whitehorse Yukon Canada.

The race commences January 29, 2016 in Jackson, and runs for the next 8 days with the Awards Ceremony in Evanston, Wyoming February 6, 2016.

Friday January 29 — Jackson, Wyoming — Opening Ceremonies & Race Start Saturday January 30 — Driggs , Idaho — Stage Two Sunday January 31 — Alpine , Wyoming — Stage Three Monday February 1 — Travel Day Tuesday February — Lander, Wyoming — Stage Four Wednesday February 3 — Pinedale, Wyoming — Stage Five Thursday February 4 — Big Piney/Marbleton, Wyoming — Stage Six Friday February 5 — Kemmerer, Wyoming — Stage Seven Saturday February 6 — Uinta County, Wyoming — Stage Eight & Awards Ceremony

These mushers and their teams will compete for cash and prizes of close to $195,000.00

Dan Carter also announced the final line up of 15 competitors for the Pedigree® 8-Dog Classic Race. In order of completed registration postmarks received, they are Elizabeth Roberts-Stewart from Bondurant WY, Alix Crittenden from Bondurant WY, Thad McCracken from Portland OR, Dave Turner from Sandy OR, Stacey O'Neal from Jackson WY, Hugo Antonucci from Adin CA, Linda Pierce from Okanogan WA, Steven Duran from Spirit Lake ID, Laura Daugereau from Kingston WA, Jane Devlin from Bend OR, April Cox from Adin CA, Jenny Greger from Bozeman MT, Amanda Bartlett from Pinedale WY, Gabe Dunham, and Spencer Bruggeman.

Teams can run up to 8 dogs from a 10-dog pool. Teams participate in the ceremonial start in Jackson, Wyoming followed by two days of racing in Driggs, Idaho and in Alpine, Wyoming. The approximate distance per day is 25 to 30 miles each day. Total payout for the 8-Dog race is $10,000.
