This generation of Kashmiri Pandit have lived significant years of their lives in Kashmir and have remained closely associated with the Sufi and Rishi traditions of Kashmir. They have had immense faith in the shrines of Sufi saints. The shrines of Sufi saints were revered by Kashmiri Pandits not only in a similar manner but more than their Kashmir i Muslim compatriots as told by the o lder generation of Kashmiri Muslims participants. Kashmiri Muslims had deep faith in these shrines. That has also contributed towards strengthening the of bond of brotherhood/bahichara between Kashmiri Muslims and Kashmiri Pandits, as both had close association with these practices irrespective of their own religious faiths. The main focus of analysis is on the kinds of University Of Jammu, India professional choices they made and the position of power they occupied in their individual capacity in areas far away from their home land. The article mentions the migration of Pandits sometimes forceful and economical and their adjustment in India with receptive to education and their elevation to different arena which led to formation of association and finally politicized the Pandits in India. An important part of our analysis is to understand how this Diasporas of Kashmir Pandit retained their affinity or connectivity with the community to which they originally belonged. An integral part of our analysis is also to see how the migrant Kashmiri Pandits rose to prominence and also made substantial contribution in their respective area of habitation. The work analyses the role of Kashmiri Pandits in the freedom struggle of the country and their elevation of some of them to the important post in the Indian National Congress. The article pronounces the community consciousness through reform organisation which tends to build the progression of the Pandits in diverse arenas of social stature.

There are three elements that effect us human beings and are vital to our survival---AIR, it is there all round us but invisible, WATER, it is there only in the form of rivers, streams and wells---without it we cannot survive and FOOD---that Mother Earth helps us to grow and harvest, so that we get the nourishment to work. Since times immemorial, most civilizations have developed and prospered on the banks of rivers. Whether it was Mohenjodaro or Harappa in India or the Egyptian civilization by the river Nile, or the Roman by the river Tiber, or the British by the river Thames, just to name a few, water had to be close by. It was the elixir of life. Only after that would prosperity follow. When wandering tribes searched for a place to set their roots, they always looked for water. Take the case of River Jhelum or Vyeth as we call it. On the river, banks were developed for use. Thus came up the waterfront or the ghat as we in India call it. If you look at the map you will see population spread not only in Srinagar city proper but other places too like Anantnag, Baramula, Sopore and other places where people have their homes either by the side of the water or near about.
