2012 CIMB Classic Volunteer Overview OVERVIEW The success of all PGA TOUR events is dependent on the dedication and abilities of its volunteers. The CIMB Classic is no different. As a volunteer, you will be part of the core team that ensures the smooth running of the entire tournament. This prestigious event is the first ever PGA TOUR sanctioned event in ASEAN and had previously featured world class players from the tour such as Tiger Woods, Bo Van Pelt, Ben Crane and many more. This premier golf tournament, which is also sanctioned by the Asian Tour, will be held from 25 to 28 October 2012 at the Mines Resort & Golf Club. A congregation of world class players and with a prize purse of USD6.1 million, the CIMB Classic 2012 is set to draw big crowds and worldwide media coverage. CIMB Classic has become an important part of the PGA TOUR schedule in a short period of two years and this relationship has been extended for an additional five years. As you recently might have heard, this tournament will continue to grow in stature as it will become an official event and part of the FedExCup in our 2013-2014 season. As part of this change, the CIMB Classic will now be managed and operated by the Championship Management division of the PGA TOUR. Now more than ever, we need volunteers to participate in this event. We know that the dedication and the professionalism of our volunteers will ensure that this event lives up to its name. Being a volunteer is a unique offer. You get to be the people closest to the players and to experience the most out of the PGA TOUR event. It is a prestigious opportunity that is highly coveted by many golf fans. Usually, fans would pay to become a volunteer as they are able to enjoy these benefits. We are looking for dedicated golf enthusiasts to come aboard the volunteering team to make the CIMB Classic 2012 experience an unforgettable one! Yours Sincerely, Todd M.
