Statistics

The AGPS monitoring and documentation team documented the names of 3064 Palestinian Syrians died due to the ongoing war in Syria.

Shelling resulted in the death of 1053 Palestinian refugees, while clashes between the regular army and the armed opposition groups resulted in the death of 678 refugees, and torture to death in the prisons of the Syrian regime resulted in the death of 423 refugees.

The Syrian regime forces targeted the road connecting between Khan Al Shieh camp and the town of Zakiawith heavy machine guns, which resulted in limited material damages.

"Zakya– Khan Al Shieh" is the only outlet for the people of Khan Al Shieh camp to get to the capital , where the regular army checkpoints continue to close all roads linking the camp and the center of the capital, Damascus, forcing residents to go through that way in spite of high seriousness.

On the other hand, Palestine Charity Committee distributed cash assistance to the registered orphans from the displaced people of Yarmouk in Yalda area, while the medical department continues to provide free medical prescriptions for the displaced people of Yarmouk to neighboring areas or those within the camp.

In the same context, Jafra Foundation carried out campaign to clean up the streets and neighborhoods inhabited by displaced people of the in the towns of Yalda and Babbila, in addition to providing drinking water for the displaced people at the towns of Yalda, Babbila, and .

It is noteworthy that hundreds of Palestinian families had been displaced from the Yarmouk refugee camp following the storming of ISIS last April in coordination with members of Al-Nusra Front who are in Yarmouk.

It is noteworthy that most relief organizations working in Yarmouk had suspended its work following threats received by ISIS accused of assassinating a number of relief activists inside the camp.

Turkey

Palestinians of Turkey Committee distributed some financial and in-kind assistance to a number of Palestinian Syrian families in Rihaniyya city.

According to the Committee, aid was distributed at about 40 families, while the Turkish authorities continue to systematically prevent the entry of Palestinian Syrians to its territory; forcing hundreds of them risk their lives to go through smuggling routes to get to Turkey to escape the war in Syria.

Numbers and Statistics till 22/11/2015

 At least 36,000 Palestinian Syrian refugees have reached Europe during the last 4 years.  The Yarmouk Camp: - Siege, imposed by the Regular Army and PFGC, continued for 874 days respectively. In addition, power cuts continued for more than 944 days, water was cut for 434 days respectively. The number of victims due to the siege has reached to 184 victims.  Al Sbeina Camp: - Regular Army is still preventing the residents of the camp to return back to their houses for 735 days respectively.  Handarat Camp: - Residents have left the camp for 936 days after the Syrian Opposition Groups controlled it.  Dara’a Camp: - It is now almost 580 days without water and 70% of its buildings were demolished.  Jarmana, AL Saieda Zainab, Al Raml, Al Aedein Camps in and Hamma: - A relatively quiet situation in light of the economic crises.

 Khan Al Sheih Camp: - Roads linking the camp to the city center are still closed except for Zakia- Khan Al Shieh road.  15,500 Palestinian Syrian refugees in Jordan, 45,000 Palestinian Syrian refugees in Lebanon, and 6,000 refugees in Egypt, according to the UNRWA's statistics till July 2015.
