Its territory comprises a number of islands including Halul, Sheraouh, Al-Ashat and others. Topographic features The terrain is flat and rocky with some low-rising limestone outcrops in Dukhan area in the west and Jabal Fiwairit in the north. It is characterized by a variety of geographical phenomena including many coves, inlets, depressions and surface rainwater-draining basins known as riyadh (the gardens), which are found mainly in the north and central part of the peninsula. These areas have the most fertile soil and are rich in vegetation. Land area The total land area of Qatar is approximately 11,521km². Population The population of Qatar amounts to 1,500,000 inhabitants (according to the initial results of the second stage of the 2009 population census). 83 % of inhabitants reside in Doha and its main suburb Al-Rayyan. Capital city Doha Official language Arabic is the official language in Qatar, and English is widely spoken. Religion Islam is the official religion of the country, and the Shariah (Islamic law) is a main source of its legislation. Climate The climate is characterized by a mild winter and a hot summer.     اﻟﺮﺳﺎﻟـــــﺔ ﺗﻮﻓﻴﺮ ﻛﻬﺮﺑﺎﺀ ﻭﻣﻴﺎﻩ ﻣﺴﺘﺪﺍﻣﺔ ﻭﺫﺍﺕ ﺟﻮﺩﺓ ﻋﺎﻟﻴﺔ، ﻟﺤﻴﺎﺓ ﺃﻓﻀﻞ ﻓﻲ ﺩﻭﻟﺔ ﻗﻄﺮ. اﻟﺮؤﻳـــــــﺔ ﺑﺤﻠﻮﻝ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﻡ ٢٠٣٠، ﺳﻴﺼﺒﺢ ﺃﺩﺍﺀ ﻣﻮﻇﻔﻴﻨﺎ ﻭﺃﺻﻮﻟﻨﺎ ﻭﺃﻧﻈﻤﺘﻨﺎ ﻭﺍﺟﺮﺍﺀﺍﺗﻨﺎ ﻣﻌﻴﺎﺭﺍً ﻋﺎﻟﻤﻴﺎً ، ﻟﻸﺩﺍﺀ ﻭﺍﻻﺑﺘﻜﺎﺭ ﺍﻟﺘﻘﻨﻲ ﻭﺍﻻﺳﺘﺪﺍﻣﺔ ﺍﻟﺒﻴﺌﻴﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﻤﺴﺆﻭﻟﻴﺔ ﺍﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻴﺔ ﺑﻘﻄﺎﻉ ﺍﻟﻜﻬﺮﺑﺎﺀ ﻭﺍﻟﻤﺎﺀ. اﻟﻘﻴـــــﻢ ﺍﻟﺘﺮﻛﻴﺰ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻌﻤﻼﺀ : ﺍﻟﺘﻤﻴﺰ ﻓﻲ ﺧﺪﻣﺔ ﺍﻟﻌﻤﻼﺀ. ﻭﺿﻊ ﺍﻟﻌﻤﻴﻞ ﻓﻲ ﻗﻠﺐ ﺍﻟﻘﺮﺍﺭ ﻟﻀﻤﺎﻥ ﺗﻠﺒﻴﺔ ﺍﺣﺘﻴﺎﺟﺎﺗﻪ ﺑﺸﻜﻞ ﻣﺴﺘﻤﺮ. ﺗﻮﻓﻴﺮ ﺧﺪﻣﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻜﻬﺮﺑﺎﺀ ﻭﺍﻟﻤﻴﺎﻩ ﺑﺠﻮﺩﺓ ﻋﺎﻟﻴﺔ. ﺍﻷﺩﺍﺀ ﻭﺍﻻﺳﺘﺠﺎﺑﺔ : ﺯﻳﺎﺩﺓ ﺍﻟﺘﻮﻋﻴﺔ ﺍﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻴﺔ ﻭﺍﻻﻣﺘﺜﺎﻝ ﻟﻠﻤﺘﻄﻠﺒﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﺒﻴﺌﻴﺔ. ﺗﺒﻨﻲ ﺃﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﻌﺎﻳﻴﺮ ﺍﻟﺪﻗﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﻜﻔﺎﺀﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﻔﺎﻋﻠﻴﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺗﻠﺒﻴﺔ ﺍﺣﺘﻴﺎﺟﺎﺕ ﻛﻬﺮﻣﺎﺀ ﻭﺃﺻﺤﺎﺏ ﺍﻟﻌﻼﻗﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺆﺳﺴﺔ ﻣﻮﺍﻛﺒﺔ ﻭﺗﻌﺰﻳﺰ ﺍﻟﺘﻐﻴﻴﺮﺍﺕ ﺍﻟﺘﻨﻈﻴﻤﻴﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺳﻮﻕ ﺍﻟﻄﺎﻗﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﻤﻴﺎﻩ ﻭﺗﺒﺮﻳﺪ ﺍﻟﻤﻨﺎﻃﻖ. ﺍﻟﻌﻤﻞ ﺑﺮﻭﺡ ﺍﻟﻔﺮﻳﻖ : ﺍﻟﺘﻌﺎﻣﻞ ﻣﻊ ﺍﻟﺰﻣﻼﺀ ﺑﺜﻘﺔ ﻣﺘﺒﺎﺩﻟﺔ ﻟﺘﺤﻘﻴﻖ ﺃﻫﺪﺍﻑ ﺗﻌﺰﻳﺰ ﺍﻷﺩﺍﺀ ﺍﻟﻤﺎﻟﻲ. ﺍﻟﻤﺆﺳﺴﺔ. ﺗﻄﻮﻳﺮ ﺍﻟﺤﻮﻛﻤﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺆﺳﺴﺔ ﻭﺇﺩﺍﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﻤﺨﺎﻃﺮ. ﺍﻟﺸﻔﺎﻓﻴـــﺔ : ﺍﻟﻘﻴﺎﻡ ﺑﺄﻧﺸﻄﺔ ﺍﻟﻤﺆﺳﺴﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﺸﻔﺎﻓﻴﺔ ﻭﺍﻻﻧﻔﺘﺎﺡ ﺍﻟﻼﺯﻣﻴﻦ ﺗﺤﺴﻴﻦ ﺍﻟﻌﻤﻠﻴﺎﺕ ﻭﺍﻷﻧﻈﻤﺔ. ﻟﺘﻌﺰﻳﺰ ﺛﻘﺔ ﺍﻟﻤﺘﻌﺎﻣﻠﻴﻦ ﻣﻌﻬﺎ. ﺗﻄﻮﻳﺮ ﺃﺩﺍﺀ ﺍﻷﺻﻮﻝ. ﺍﻟـــــﻮﻻﺀ : ﺍﻟﻤﺤﺎﻓﻈﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺼﺪﻕ ﻣﻊ ﻛﻬﺮﻣﺎﺀ ﻭﺩﻋﻢ ﺃﻫﺪﺍﻓﻬﺎ ﺿﻤﺎﻥ ﺑﻴﺌﺔ ﻋﻤﻞ ﺁﻣﻨﺔ ﻭﺻﺤﻴﺔ. ﻭﺍﻟﻔﺨﺮ ﺑﺈﻧﺠﺎﺯﺍﺗﻬﺎ. ﺍﻟﺴﻌﻲ ﻧﺤﻮ ﺍﺳﺘﻘﻄﺎﺏ ﻣﻮﻇﻔﻴﻦ ﺃﻛﻔﺎﺀ ﻭﺗﻄﻮﻳﺮﻫﻢ، ﻭﺍﻹﺑﻘﺎﺀ ﻋﻠﻴﻬﻢ، ﻭﺩﻋﻢ ﺳﻴﺎﺳﺔ ﺍﻟﺘﻘﻄﻴﺮ. التقطير | 1 كلمة العدد في إطار خطط كهرماء لرفع مخزون المياه اﻻستراتيجي في الدولة، وتأمينها لمختلف المناطق، قامت المؤسسة بوضع حجر اﻷساس لمشروع الخزانات اﻻستراتيجية الكبرى لتأمين المياه في دولة قطر يعد هذا المشروع أكبر توسعة لمخزون المياه في قطر، وهو إعﻻن لقدرة قطاع المياه وجاهزيته للوفاء بمتطلبات التنمية، وهو إنجاز ما كان له أن يتحقق لوﻻ الدعم الﻻمحدود والجهد المبذول من فريق عمل كهرماء. ويهدف المشروع إلى رفع المخزون اﻻستراتيجي من المياه لتلبية متطلبات الدولة في الحاﻻت العادية والطارئة حتى عام 2026م كمرحلة أولى. ويضم المشروع 24 خزانا للمياه تعد اﻷكبر في العالم بسعة )2273( مليون جالون، إضافة إلى تمديد ما يقارب )650( كم من أنابيب المياه ذات اﻷقطار الكبيرة والمختلفة الحجم تربط بين هذه الخزانات ومحطات التحلية.

On a regional scale, under the directives of the Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV-2030), the Qatar National Development Framework (QNDF-2032), and the strategies for planned mega events, such as the FIFA World Cup 2022, the State of Qatar launched the construction of the Doha Metro, which consists of four lines. This transport system, linking the center of Doha to several transit villages around approximately 100 metro stations, aims at reducing the number of vehicles on the road networks while providing an integrated transportation and land use strategy through the urban regeneration of transit-oriented developments (TODs), providing both social and environmental economic benefits. Among the most significant transit sites within the Doha Metro lines is the Souq Waqif station. This station is a historical–heritage spot that represents a potential socio-cultural site for the creation of a distinctive urban environment. This research study investigates an approach suitable for an urban regeneration planning scheme for the Souq Waqif TOD, aiming at (i) preserving and consolidating the deeply rooted cultural heritage of the historical site and (ii) enhancing the city dwellers’ and/or the community’s standards of urban living.

This study employs a descriptive analysis of these interventions to explore the impact of change in the old center, exemplified by socio-spatial and typo-morphological aspects. Reference is made to a number of empirical studies, including behavioral mapping, GIS population statistics, and analysis of historical maps. Results analytically narrate the reactions of these interventions to the possibility of simultaneously adopting universal practices with local knowledge, and whether prioritizing local influences would represent narrow-mindedness in shaping the city.
