  • Fern Hill FARNDON
Fern Hill FARNDON An exclusive development of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom detached family homes in a village environment A wonderful place to call home Located by the River Dee just eight miles from Chester, the charming village of Farndon is a special place to call home. The master plan for Fern Hill is simple: to offer a rewarding new way of life for its residents in harmony with the village environment. The 38 homes will encompass a selection of three-, four- and five-bedroom family residences. Each carefully selected home has been designed by our award winning architects, to offer spacious, light and airy homes set in a green and spacious environment. There are no fewer than 8 house styles to choose from. There’s a strong sense of tradition here, with a butchers that sells home-made sausages, a county market every Wednesday morning, a fine choice of pubs and restaurants, and free fishing on the river for salmon, trout, dace and roach. The village is noted for its excellent school, for children aged three to eleven, and there’s an outstanding high school eight miles away in Malpas. Farndon is convenient for a wide variety of destinations. Wales is only a mile away, via the 14th century stone bridge across the River Dee to the medieval village of Holt and the busy town of Wrexham. Transport links include the M56 motorway, about fifteen miles from Chester, with easy access to Manchester airport. Fern Hill has been created with you at its heart. 1 Nothing beats coming home to Fern Hill.

  • Parish District of Churton Cheshire Newsletter 2
Parish District of Churton Cheshire Newsletter 2 Welcome to the latest Churton Parish Council newsletter, informing the work of the PC. All parish council meetings are open to the public and all those within the parish are welcome to attend. Details of the next meeting always appear on the parish notice board in Pump Lane and outside the White Horse pub or on the website http://www.churtonparishcouncil.co.uk/ . There is always an open forum at the start of each meeting for you to raise any parish issues. The White Horse: The last PC meeting held on the 15th January was a very busy one, with many residents attending. Most were there to support the PC in an attempt to have the White Horse reopened. The Chair and one other councillor reported on a meeting that they had attended with Admiral Taverns representatives, to discuss the difficulties that they appear to be having, not only with the White Horse, but also the other AT pubs in the area. They seemed to imply that they would continue to actively market the property until April/May of this year and then decisions would need to be taken regarding the tenancy. The meeting was informed that the pub has been accepted as an Asset of Community Value (ACV), this restricts the ability of the owner (Admiral Taverns) to dispose of the property and it could also affect future planning permission. Now that the White Horse is on this list it will remain on the list for five years and if the owner wishes to dispose of it a moratorium must be observed to allow a competitive bid from any community interest group.
