But now, with the facilitation of Geographical Information System (GIS) automated process,the studies are faster and even accurate in modeling the flood inundation area. The used of GIS is essential as a planning tool for floods, educating the populations at risk and managing floods as they actually rise. Featuresin the GIS itself such as the 3-D Visualization and detailed hydrological characteristic help a lot in defining areas which is vulnerable to flood. Generally, flood mapping can identify the effects of flooding and those effects are representedin hazard and risk mapping. The main advantage of using GIS for flood managementis that it not only generates a visualization of flooding but also createspotential to further analyzethis product to estimateprobable damagedue to flood. This paper is to demonstratethe use of GIS in constructing the flood map at studies area.The map then are derive into Digital Terrain Model (DTM) to make the identification in flood vulnerable areas easier which provide high detailed representationof the topographical variations in the Earth's surface. iii ACKNOWLEDGEMENT This project has taken about a year of planning and working processes in order to fulfill the requirements of Final Year Project subject.     The Provider-Based Evaluation (ProBE) 2014 Preliminary Report I. Background of ProBE 2014 The Provider-Based Evaluation (ProBE), continuation of the formerly known Malaysia Government Portals and Websites Assessment (MGPWA), has been concluded for the assessment year of 2014. As mandated by the Government of Malaysia via the Flagship Coordination Committee (FCC) Meeting chaired by the Secretary General of Malaysia, MDeC hereby announces the result of ProBE 2014. Effective Date and Implementation The assessment year for ProBE 2014 has commenced on the 1 st of July 2014 following the announcement of the criteria and its methodology to all agencies. A total of 1086 Government websites from twenty four Ministries and thirteen states were identified for assessment. Methodology In line with the continuous and heightened effort from the Government to enhance delivery of services to the citizens, significant advancements were introduced to the criteria and methodology of assessment for ProBE 2014 exercise. The year 2014 spearheaded the introduction and implementation of self-assessment methodology where all agencies were required to assess their own websites based on the prescribed ProBE criteria. The key features of the methodology are as follows: ● Agencies are required to conduct assessment of their respective websites throughout the year; ● Parents agencies played a vital role in monitoring as well as approving their agencies to be able to conduct the self-assessment; ● During the self-assessment process, each agency is required to record

Kedah area has recently shown a great potential of archaeological findings. The main objective of the present work is to locate the extension of the buried furnace in the area of Padang Cicak, Sik, Kedah (Malaysia) using 2-D resistivity survey for shallow investigations. Resistivity data were collected using Pole-Dipole array with 0.5 m electrode spacing. Afterwards, the resistivity data were processed with 2-D inversion resistivity (Res2Dinv) software which includes smoothness constrained. The results revealed high resistivity zones with < 15 Ωm at depth ranging from 0.-1.5 m at the study area. Base on the archaeological evidence, the lower resistivity values indicate the interest anomaly for archaeological excavation. KEYWORDS: 2-D Resistivity, Archaeology, Buried, Furnace, Kedah. INTRODUCTION The geophysical study was conducted at Kampong Padang Cicak, Sik Kedah. It involves 2-D resistivity imaging. The objective of the study is to identify the extension of the furnace found at the area. With this method, the volume of surface runoff can be reduced and flood problems in major cities can be eliminated. The study areas of Sungai Kedah ungauged catchment are located at the northern region of Malaysia. The Kota Setar sub-catchment is located at the downstream of Sungai Kedah with the newly completed development of control barrage at the upper Kota Setar. This paper will describe the analyses of the infiltration curves at Kota Setar. The resulting infiltration maps have developed based on the infiltration capacities.
