1.) To Live Forever - Why do you think Winnie chose not to drink the water? Do you think she made the right choice? If you could choose to live forever, would you? Why or why not? Hold a debate with your class and discuss the pros and cons. Take it further and discuss the Tuck family’s decision to keep the spring a secret. Why did they make this choice? What do you think would have happened if people found out about the spring?

2.) Difficult Choices - In Tuck Everlasting, there are many difficult choices that have to be made. Identify and discuss these choices. What do you do when faced with a difficult choice? What do you consider? Hold a discussion or make this into a writing assignment.

3.) The Man in the Yellow Suit - Describe the character Man in Yellow Suit. What was his role in the story? Discuss the role of antagonists in a story. The author of the novel Tuck Everlasting, Natalie Babbitt, intentionally did not name this character. Why do you think she made him nameless? Hold a discussion or make this into a writing assignment.
