CHAIR OF THE BOARD Pat C. Beaird ’83 Managing Shareholder – Beaird Harris Dallas,

Pat has been nominated to serve The Association of Former Students as Chair of the Board in 2021. He earned a BBA in accounting from Texas A&M University in 1984 and has practiced as a CPA for over 35 years. He is also licensed as a Personal Financial Specialist, which is the highest financial planning designation awarded by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 1989, Pat co-founded the Dallas CPA and wealth management firm of Beaird Harris where he serves as President and Managing Shareholder, overseeing a team of approximately 65 people. With extensive experience in complex tax matters and a background in estate planning, he works with high net worth individuals and closely-held businesses. Beaird Harris has been named to Accounting Today’s list of The 100 Best Accounting Firms to Work For and Texas Monthly’s list of Best Places to Work in Texas. Beaird Harris was one of the first CPA firms in the United States to launch an independent, fee-only wealth management affiliate and reach $1 billion under management as a local firm. The firm has been named to CNBC’s list of The Top 100 Fee-Only Wealth Management Firms in the United States and the Dallas Business Journal’s list of The 25 Largest Wealth Management Firms in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Pat has been further recognized by Medical Economics as one of The Best Financial Advisors for Doctors. He combines his extensive background in tax with a strong resume in wealth management to help clients structure their business and personal lives for the objective of achieving and maintaining financial independence. Pat currently serves on four other boards, including one of the largest independent wealth management firms in the United States. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs. Prior to being elected to The Association of Former Students Board of Directors, he served as a Representative at Large. Pat and his wife, Colleen, are Endowed Century Club members and Endowed Aggie Ring Scholarship donors to The Association. They have three daughters: Brooke, Rachel and Morgan ’11, who is married to David ’11.

CHAIR ELECT Dara G. Hegar ’95 Managing Attorney – The Lanier Law Firm Katy, Texas

Dara has been nominated to serve The Association of Former Students as Chair Elect in 2021. Born and raised in the Houston area, she received her bachelor’s degree in political science with honors from Texas A&M University in 1995. She received her master’s degree in international relations and her law degree from St. Mary’s University, where she served as Associate Editor of the Law Review Journal in 1998. During her time at Texas A&M, Dara served as a member of SCONA, studied abroad in France, participated in a cooperative education program with the Walt Disney Corporation and was a scholar in the James Earl Rudder Normandy Program. Upon completing law school, she served as briefing attorney to the Honorable Richard H. Edelman at the Fourteenth Court of Appeals for the State of Texas. In 1999, Dara joined The Lanier Law Firm, P.C. where she is currently the Managing Attorney for the firm’s offices in Houston, Los Angeles and New York. She has represented clients in each of the firm’s practice areas and has focused on trial coordination in complex litigation matters. Dara has represented clients and Fortune 500 companies from across the nation. While her proficiency spans across all of the firm’s practice areas, her specialty has been managing complex litigations and providing specific insight at trial that has resulted in many significant verdicts and settlements over the past 21 years. Dara has been named a “Rising Star” in the legal community eight times by Texas Monthly, receiving the honor each year from 2006 through 2013. She was also named a “Top 100 Trial Lawyer” in 2013 by The National Trial Lawyers. Furthermore, she was honored to be included in U.S. News and World Report’s 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 editions of The Best Lawyers in America and named a “Super Lawyer” by Thompson Reuters from 2018-2020. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for The Association of Former Students, she is a member of the Houston Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Senate Ladies Club. Dara and her husband, The Honorable Glenn Hegar ’93, are Endowed Century Club members and have three children all striving to be future Aggies: Claire, Julia and Jonah.

IMMEDIATE PAST CHAIR Cathy G. Mann ’92 Senior Vice President for Marketing and Communications – American Bureau of Shipping Kingwood, Texas

Cathy will serve as The Association of Former Students’ Immediate Past Chair in 2021. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 1992 and later earned an MBA from Rice University in 2011. While at Texas A&M, she was active in Student Government, Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, served as a Fish Camp counselor, and was a member of the Aggieland yearbook staff. She serves as Senior Vice President for Marketing and Communications at the American Bureau of Shipping, a leading international classification society. Previously, Cathy led Halliburton’s global marketing strategy and execution, as well as held senior leadership positions in corporate communications and human resources management, with global work assignments completed in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. In 2011, Cathy was named as one of the ‘Women Worth Watching’ by the Profiles in Diversity Journal and has received many other awards from the American Marketing Association, International Association of Business Communicators, Public Relations Society of America and Texas Public Relations Association. While at Rice University, she received the Jones Citizenship Award and the M.A. “Mike” Wright Award for leadership excellence and exemplary service to the Jones Graduate School of Business. Cathy is a registered descendant member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She served on the board of directors for the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council and now serves on its Board Development Committee. Cathy and her husband, Stan, are Endowed Century Club members and have endowed an Aggie Ring Scholarship.

PRESIDENT AND CEO Porter S. Garner III ’79 The Association of Former Students College Station, Texas

Porter graduated from Texas A&M University in 1979 with a BBA in marketing and began his career with Hughes Tool Company before joining The Association’s staff as Field Director in 1981. After nearly 18 years of service to The Association, Porter was unanimously elected by the Board of Directors to lead the organization, making him only the seventh chief executive in The Association’s 141-year history. Over the last 21 years as President and CEO, Porter has inspired innovation and led initiatives to achieve The Association’s vision to become the premier alumni organization, enhance Association programs and services, and broaden the organization’s reach and relevance to the worldwide Aggie Network. He serves as a non-voting member of The Association’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee, working closely with the Board to ensure that donated funds are used in the most efficient and effective ways to benefit Texas A&M and the Aggie Network. Under his leadership as President and CEO, The Association of Former Students’ total assets have grown from $55 million to $119 million, and the organization has raised over $321 million impacting Texas A&M and Texas Aggies. Porter is a member of the Self- Governing Alumni Forum (SGAF), Council of Alumni Association Executives (CAAE), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and serves on the board of Baylor Scott & White Health–College Station Region. He served on numerous boards to include: CASE District IV, CASE Commission on Alumni Relations, Brazos Valley Rehab Center and March of Dimes. He is only one of two individuals to have been honored with a lifetime membership in the Brazos County A&M Club. Porter and his wife, Lisa ’91, are Endowed Century Club members and have three children: Claire ’21, Callie ’23 and Porter IV.

Arch H. “Beaver” Aplin, III ’80 President – Buc-ee’s Lake Jackson, Texas

Beaver earned a bachelor’s degree in building construction from Texas A&M in 1980. After graduation, he joined his family’s construction and development business for a brief time, then opened his first Buc-ee’s in 1982. Today, he serves as President of Lake Jackson-based Buc-ee’s stores. Beaver’s intention was to build the Buc-ee’s brand methodically with a goal to become the best convenience store available for service and selection. Among Texas’ unique traveling attractions, the Buc-ee’s stores feature sparkling clean restrooms, quirky marketing and unique products such as Beaver Nuggets, peppered elk jerky, private-label candied jalapenos, souvenir T-shirts and bumper stickers. Passionate about community involvement, Beaver has a long history of being active at the local and state levels. He serves as Vice Chairman of Texas Parks and Wildlife, is a member of the Houston Methodist President’s Leadership Council, a member of the Lieutenant Governor’s Transportation Advisory Board and a lifetime member of both the Coastal Conservation Association and the 100 Club of Brazoria County. Previously, he was a nine-year board member of the Brazosport Independent School District, including a two-year tenure as board president. He was also a member of the Texas Small Business Council (appointed by former Gov. Rick Perry ’72), a past board member of the Brazosport Center for the Arts and Sciences and Lake Jackson’s Emergency Management Services. Prior to his appointment to The Association of Former Students’ Board of Directors, he served as a Representative at Large. A frequent speaker on the Texas A&M campus, Beaver was honored as an Outstanding Alumnus of the College of Architecture in 2012 and received Texas A&M’s Center for Retailing Studies M.B. Zale Visionary Merchant Award in 2018. Beaver and his wife, Joanie, reside in Lake Jackson and have five children: Anne-Elizabeth, Katherine, Hart ’20, Lauren and Joshua. An Endowed Century Club member, Beaver enjoys traveling and fishing with his family in his free time.

Charles B. “Brad” Bynum ’92 Executive Vice Chairman, President and Director – Howard Energy Partners Boerne, TX

Brad graduated from Texas A&M University in 1992 with a BBA in accounting and went on to earn an MBA from The Jones School at Rice University. He co-founded Howard Energy Partners (HEP), a diversified midstream company with operations in Texas, , Pennsylvania and Mexico in 2011 and serves as Executive Vice Chairman, President and Director. He has an extensive background in a wide spectrum of the energy industry. Brad’s senior management and board of director experience ranges from upstream to midstream and public to private. He focuses his efforts at HEP on long-term strategic direction and growth initiatives. Prior to co-founding HEP, Brad co-founded Hall-Houston Exploration Partners, LLC, a Gulf of Mexico exploration and production company, where he served as Chief Financial Officer from 2005 to 2011. From 1997 to 2005, he worked in Merrill Lynch’s Global Energy and Power Investment Banking Group. While at Merrill Lynch, Brad worked with a wide range of energy clients primarily focusing on the exploration and production, and midstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. Brad has served on the board of directors of several public companies including Magnum Hunter Resources from 2008 to 2013 and Petro Resources Corporation from 2006 to 2008. He is currently involved with the Trading, Risk and Investments Program and the Petroleum Ventures Program at Texas A&M University and served The Association of Former Students as a Representative at Large prior to being elected to the Board of Directors. Brad and his wife, Melissa ’94, are Endowed Century Club members and have two children: Courtney and Sarah ’24.

John F. Dickerson ’87 President – Dickerson Development Dallas, Texas

John earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics in 1987 from Texas A&M University, and went on to earn a master’s degree in real estate and land economics in 1989. As a member of the Corps of Cadets, he was commander of the Ross Volunteer Company, which serves as the Honor Guard for the Governor of Texas. John joined Hank Dickerson & Company in 1990 as an associate specializing in land sales, and has served as President of the company since 1996. In 1993, he formed Dickerson Development Inc., a successful developer of national build-to- suits, multi-tenant retail centers and residential master planned communities. Dickerson Design Build Inc. was formed in 2015 to provide design, budgeting and construction management for medical interior finish out construction. John implements his vast experience in the acquisition, development, construction and sale of investment properties into every transaction the company undertakes. Over the years, he has shown his dedication to selfless service in a variety of capacities. He is the current Chairman of the Dallas Goodwill Foundation Board and a past Chair of the Board of Goodwill Industries of Dallas, a Founding Board Member of Highlands Bancshares (now Prosperity Bancshares), and previously served as a member of the Texas A&M Foundation’s Real Estate Gift Committee and 12th Man Foundation Champions Council. John served The Association of Former Students as a Representative at Large prior to being elected to the Board of Directors. In 2018, he was asked to join the President’s Board of Visitors for the Corps of Cadets. John and his wife, Melinda, are Endowed Century Club members and have three children: John, Kayla and Ginger. The family are members of First Baptist Church Dallas. He is also a rancher and an avid big game hunter, completing his Grand Slam of North American Sheep in 2015.

Laurie Hill Gutierrez ’88 Partner – Blazek & Vetterling Houston, Texas

Laurie earned a BBA in accounting from Texas A&M University in 1988. She is an audit partner with Blazek & Vetterling, an independent public accounting firm specializing in tax- exempt organizations and providing tax and audit services to a variety of nonprofits, governmental units and employee benefit plans. She serves as the firm’s Audit Quality Partner for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Government Audit Quality Center and is the partner in charge of recruiting. She frequently presents on new accounting standards and accounting issues impacting not-for-profit organizations. Laurie began her accounting career with Ernst & Young where she spent eight years serving healthcare and nonprofit clients. In that capacity, she participated in the audits of hospitals, long-term care organizations, independent practice associations and other health care related organizations. She subsequently spent six years in health care management as a chief financial officer of a public healthcare company and a controller of a not-for-profit managed care organization. In addition to the overall direction and operations of the finance departments, she was responsible for financial reporting, regulatory reporting and compliance monitoring. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Houston Chapter of CPAs. Laurie serves on the Board of Directors (currently serving as Secretary) and Finance Committee for The Parish School and is a past president of that board. She is also a past president, former board member and treasurer of The Women’s Home. Laurie and husband, Alfredo ’88, are Endowed Century Club members and have two children: Hudson and Taylor.

Ray Hannigan ’61 Retired President and CEO – Kinetic Concepts Bryan, Texas

Ray graduated from Texas A&M University in 1961 with a B.A. in general business and continued his education with a postgraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin. He later attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. Ray gained experience in international management through work in Latin America and Canada. In 1994, he was named President and CEO of Kinetic Concepts, a position which he retained until his retirement in 2000. Prior to his work at Kinetic Concepts, Ray served as president of the international division of Sterling Drug, president of Beecham SmithKlein Canada, managing director of Timex Mexico and marketing director of Union Carbide Brazil. A dedicated selfless servant, Ray was appointed by former Gov. Rick Perry ’72 to the State Board of Health and served four years. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, Our Lady of the Lake University and the Southwest Research Foundation. He was a Meals on Wheels volunteer and served on the leadership council of St. Mary’s Catholic Center in College Station. In the Mays Business School, he has been a member of the Center for International Business Studies Advisory Council and visited as a guest lecturer. He is also a member of the 12th Man Foundation Champions Council. An Endowed Century Club member, he has established three Presidential Endowed Scholarships. In 1997, Ray was named an Outstanding Alumnus of the Mays Business School and, in 2015, was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus—the highest honor bestowed upon a former student of Texas A&M University. He was recognized as one of the Top 100 Irish Americans in Business by Irish America Magazine in 1999. Ray and his wife, Patty, have three children: Katharine, Chris ’92 and Rush ’09.

Mark C. Herod, Sr. ’78 President – Acme Bridge Co., Inc. New Braunfels, TX

Mark graduated from Texas A&M in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in building construction. As a student, he was a member of Squadron 5 in the Corps of Cadets, where he served on the First Wing Staff Color Guard, along with leading his outfit’s intramural sports activities. After graduation, Mark joined his father and worked for the family construction business, Acme Bridge Company. As a road and bridge general contractor for the great State of Texas, Acme Bridge built many projects over the last six decades throughout Central and . Ten years ago, Mark had the opportunity to expand Acme Bridge into the oil field services industry and begin work in the Eagle Ford Shale. Once fully established, Acme Bridge became a full-service oil field company that constructs pad site locations, excavates reserve pits, builds frac ponds and performs all required work needed prior to rigs arriving onsite. A few years later, Acme Bridge again had the opportunity to expand their oil field service side of the company to and begin work in the Permian Basin. Whether working for TXDOT or in the oil field, Mark takes great pride in applying the same core values learned at Texas A&M University. Leadership, honesty, integrity and hard work, along with a safe work environment for all, have been paramount on his watch. Acme Bridge Company has received numerous awards recognizing their commitment to safety. They have been a proud member of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) for over 50 years where Mark has served for several years on the AGC Structures Committee. He has long been active in his community with service to his church, the Comal County A&M Club, as well as volunteering with the Comal County Junior Livestock Show Association. Prior to being appointed to The Association of Former Students’ Board of Directors, Mark served as a Representative at Large. He and his wife, Anne ’78, are members of The Association’s Endowed Century Club, as well as the A&M Legacy Society, 12th Man Foundation Champions Council and the Eppright Distinguished Donor Program. Mark and Anne have three children: Clinton ’05 who is married to Lindsey ’07, Clayton ’07 who is married to Ashley ’11, and Amy Catherine ’11. In addition, they have three grandchildren: Claire, Lucy and Billy Pat. Mark enjoys ranching, hunting, traveling and spending time with his family.

Bobby Jenkins ’81 Owner and President – ABC Home & Commercial Services Austin, Texas

Bobby graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in business management. He is the owner and president of ABC Home & Commercial Services with offices in Austin, San Antonio, College Station, Corpus Christi and Bell County. ABC employs over 850 people and offers a wide variety of services including pest and termite control, lawn care and mowing, landscaping and irrigation, tree trimming, air conditioning and heating, plumbing and electrical, pool cleaning and repair, handyman services, appliance repair, window cleaning and power washing. In 2011, former Gov. Rick Perry ’72 appointed Bobby to a six-year term on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Perry appointed him Vice Chair in 2013, followed by an appointment as Chairman in 2015 by Gov. Greg Abbott. In August of 2019, Gov. Abbott appointed Bobby as Chairman of the Mobility Authority. A selfless servant, Bobby serves on the boards of the United Way, College for All Texans Foundation, BBB Education Foundation, Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse, Alzheimer’s Association and is on the executive committee of the Texas Business Leadership Council. He currently serves on the national board of the Sudden Unexplained Death in Children Foundation as well as the board of the Moss Pieratt Foundation. He is the co- founder and board chairman of Recognize Good, as well as Chair of the Friends of the Kite Festival Foundation. Bobby is a past president of both the Texas and National Pest Management Associations and is the current chair of the Professional Pest Management Alliance. He is a past chair and board member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, American Heart Association, Austin Gives, Caritas of Austin and Alzheimer’s Texas Association. He served as a tri-chair for Austin Independent School District’s bond oversight committee. Bobby is a past co-chair for the United Way Annual Campaign and Heart Walk for the American Heart Association. His service to Texas A&M University includes membership on the College of Agriculture Development Council and the Mays Business School Development Council. A member of The Association of Former Students’ Century Club, he served as a Representative at Large prior to his election to The Association’s Board of Directors. Bobby and his wife, Jan ’82, have three children: Jessica ’08, Chelsea ’11 and Bo ’14.

Robert E. “Bob” Jordan ’85 EVP Corporate Services – Southwest Airlines Flower Mound, Texas

Bob earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in business administration, both from Texas A&M University. He currently serves as Southwest Airlines’ EVP Corporate Services where he provides executive leadership for people and culture, the Southwest University, diversity and inclusion, airport affairs and corporate facilities and communications and outreach. Bob’s key responsibilities include all internal and external communications, all hiring and training, giving all employees the opportunity for personal and professional growth, the quality and depth of leadership throughout the company, airports and all construction, and ensuring an environment of diversity and inclusion. He is also responsible for the delivery of key company initiatives and served as President of Southwest’s formerly owned subsidiary, AirTran Airways. Bob joined Southwest Airlines in 1988 and has served in roles including Corporate Controller, Vice President Procurement, Vice President Technology, Senior Vice President Enterprise Spend Management, Executive Vice President Strategy and Technology, and Executive Vice President Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to joining Southwest Airlines, Bob worked for Hewlett-Packard as a programmer and financial analyst. He currently serves on the board of directors for The Container Store, where he chairs the Audit Committee. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Southwest Medical Foundation. Bob is the recipient of both the Computer Science Distinguished Former Student and the Mays Business School Outstanding Alumnus Awards. In addition, he serves on the Mays Business School Dean’s Advisory Board. Bob and his wife, Kelly ’86, are Endowed Century Club members as well as members of the A&M Legacy Society. They are active in charitable organizations, including Cross Timbers Community Church, Compassion International and the Metropolitan Opera. Bob and Kelly have two adult children: Sheryl ’09, who is married to Gabe ’07, and Soren ’10, who is married to Victoria ’12, along with one grandson, Joseph ’40.

Shara B. McClure ’90 Divisional Senior Vice President, Health Care Delivery – BlueCross and BlueShield of TX Dallas, Texas

A Texas native, Shara earned her bachelor’s degree in business analysis from Texas A&M University in 1990. Through her current role as Divisional Senior Vice President for BlueCross and BlueShield of Texas (BCBSTX), the largest health insurer in the state, she manages contractual relationships with more than 100,000 providers and 500 hospitals in all 254 Texas counties, which impacts almost 7 million Texans who carry BCBS insurance cards. As a voice for BCBSTX members, she is at the forefront of BCBSTX’s $10 million investment in the Texas A&M Health Science Center’s work to address rural health issues. She serves as chairperson of the company’s business resource group, Women Improving the Strength of the Enterprise (WISE) and oversees WISE’s initiatives to promote career, community, commerce and culture across BlueCross and BlueShield plans in Texas, Illinois, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Montana. She also represents the company as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for TMA Practice Edge in addition to serving on the board for the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce and IT’S TIME TEXAS. Outside of the office, Shara is an active leader in the community. She is an alumnus of the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Leadership Dallas Class of 2017, a senior Fellow of Houston’s American Leadership Forum, as well as a graduate of the Leading Women Executives Program developed by the Corporate Leadership Center of Chicago. She previously served on the board for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Dallas, where she was also a mentor. Additionally, Shara was named one of the Top 30 Influential Women of Houston in 2013. Prior to her election to The Association of Former Students’ Board of Directors, Shara served as a Representative at Large. She is an Endowed Century Club member, a lifetime member of the Dallas A&M Club, and a member of the Chancellor’s Century Council. Shara and her husband, Craig, are proud parents to Melinda ’15 who is married to Ryan Haughey ’13 and Michael ’18 who is married to Katie Morey McClure ’18. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, golfing and traveling.

Ken Robinson ’93 Managing Partner – CIS-Computer Innovation Services, Inc. Grand Prairie, Texas

Ken graduated from Texas A&M University in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He is the founder and CEO of CIS-Computer Innovation Services Inc., a software solutions and consulting organization. Founded in 1997 as a sole proprietorship, CIS provided technology-based consulting services to various clients in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Incorporated in 1998, CIS now services customers worldwide with its software and technology solutions. For over 25 years, Ken has specialized in the creation and implementation of supply- chain logistics software and solutions. In 2008, CIS was awarded the Aggie 100 designation as one of the top 100 Aggie-owned businesses for the prior year (ranked #15). Also in 2008, he was awarded the Alpha Phi Alpha Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Ken has shown his dedication to the Aggie Network through his service as founder, chair and board member of the Black Former Student Network and as a past board member of the Greek Former Student Network. Prior to serving on The Association of Former Students’ Board of Directors, he served as a Representative at Large. He has also served as a member of the Texas A&M University Aggie Spirit Development Council, the Texas A&M University Department of Computer Science Strategic Development Committee (College of Engineering), Nu Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the DFW Society Young Executives Club. Lias J. “Jeff” Steen ’80 President – Steen Interests, LLC Houston, Texas

Jeff graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and went on to earn a Juris Doctorate from the South Texas College of Law Houston. A native of Cuero, Texas, he has been involved in the oil and gas business in various capacities since 1978, starting his career as a petroleum landman. Jeff spent 10 years with Camco International Inc. as assistant General Counsel and General Counsel. Following his tenure at Camco, he served five years as General Counsel for North America for Schlumberger Limited; then, from December 2002 to April 2008, served as Vice President of Legal and Human Resources at Grant Prideco. Jeff joined Oil States International Inc. in 2008 and served as the Executive Vice President, Legal and Human Resources. Currently, Jeff manages Steen Interests, a family office enterprise that includes real estate, ranching and oil and gas assets in Texas and New Mexico. To reflect his creative endeavors, he has participated in the development and production of 19 feature films and documentaries, as well as the theatrical stage production of “Rear Window.” As a student, Jeff was a founding member and the first president of Texas A&M University’s Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He was also active in Student Government and served as a Student Senator. Jeff was awarded the Star American Farmer Degree from the National Future Farmers of America during his sophomore year. Prior to his election to The Association of Former Students’ Board of Directors, he served The Association as a Representative at Large. In the community, Jeff has been active in serving on numerous philanthropic and charitable boards. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum Endowment, as the Managing Trustee for the Jennings Dincans Charitable Foundation and is on the board of the Upper Kirby District in Houston. Previous board service includes Girls Inc., The Diaper Foundation, The Juvenile Diabetes Association, South Texas College of Law and Cancer Counseling, Inc. Jeff and his wife, Barbara ’97, are Endowed Century Club members, and have two sons: Jake ’19 and Fletcher ’34.

Martín E. Torrijos ’87 Former President of Panama President, Consensus Consultores Panama City, Panama

Martín earned bachelor’s degrees from Texas A&M University in political science and economics in 1987 and 1988 respectively. He worked in the United States for four years before returning to his native country of Panama. Martín’s political career began in 1990 when he was elected to lead the Revolutionary Democratic Party’s youth organization. He was Panama’s undersecretary of government and justice from 1994-98 where he was responsible for national security, civil aerial navigation, public transportation and telecommunications. He was elected to lead his party in 1999, serving as general secretary for three terms. In 2004, Martín was elected as the 42nd president of the Constitutional Republic of Panama, serving from Sept. 1, 2004, to June 30, 2009. His administration achieved economic growth of 8.5 percent, reduced the unemployment rate, and created a range of social programs from education to health, including fiscal and social security reforms. During his presidency, Panama approved and began the Panama Canal expansion, a $6.3 billion project. In 2006, Martín participated in the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for collaborative research between Texas A&M University at Galveston and the International Maritime University of Panama. A member of The Association of Former Students’ Century Club, he was recognized as an Outstanding International Alumnus of Texas A&M in 2007, and in 2017 as a Distinguished Alumnus, which is the highest honor bestowed upon a former student of Texas A&M University. For more than two decades, Martín has served as an economic advisor to international companies and governments. More recently, he has earned recognition as a moderator in regional conflicts. After Haiti’s earthquake in 2010, he became actively involved in the reconstruction effort and served as a member of the Presidential Economic Advisory Board. Martín serves as vice president of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America, a director of the Inter-American Dialogue policy analysis center and board president for the Omar Torrijos Foundation. Martín and his wife, Vivian, have three children: Daniela, Martín ’17 and Nicolas.

Robert H. White ’81 President – Jefferson Development Company Boerne, Texas

Robert graduated from Texas A&M University in 1981 with a BBA in accounting and went to work with Arthur Andersen & Co. in its San Antonio office. In 1984, he joined a privately- owned real estate company in Houston and began developing and managing commercial properties. Robert joined Jefferson Realty Company in 1992 to focus on real estate acquisition and development opportunities arising out of the real estate market crash of the late 1980s and from asset dispositions by U.S. government agencies and financial institutions. He went on to co-found Jefferson Development Company in 1996, targeting an array of structured investment opportunities in real estate assets and development projects including apartments, land acquisitions and master planned communities. A certified public accountant and a licensed real estate broker, Robert is a member of the Texas Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Prior to his election to The Association of Former Students’ Board of Directors, he served as a Representative at Large. Robert and his wife of 37 years, Dee, have one daughter, Jennifer White Hartmann ’09, who is married to Kenneth J. Hartmann ’10, along with two grandchildren, James and Cece. Robert and Dee are members of The Association’s Endowed Century Club, members of the A&M Legacy Society, Mays Business School Endowed Scholarship donors, members of the 12th Man Foundation Champions Council and members of the Eppright Distinguished Donor Program. In his spare time, Robert enjoys implementing range and water resource stewardship practices on their ranch in Kimble County.

John B. Zachry ’84 Chairman and Chief Executive Officer – Zachry Group San Antonio, Texas

John earned a B.S. in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Zachry Group, which provides consulting, engineering, construction, maintenance, turnarounds/ outages, pipe fabrication and other services across multiple energy and industrial markets including refining, petrochemicals, fossil and nuclear power generation, renewable energy, forest products, agriculture and consumer packaged goods, manufacturing and rail transportation. The company employs 25,000 people and has offices across the U.S. as well as Japan, South Korea and the Philippines. Additional affiliated companies include an oil and gas exploration and production company active on the Gulf Coast and a software company based in Denver. Active within the industry, John is a member of the National Academy of Construction, the Construction Industry Round Table and is a past Chairman of the Construction Industry Institute. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Texas A&M University College of Engineering Advisory Council. His civic volunteer activities include serving on the Board of Trustees of the United Way and on the Board of Trustees of Texas Biomedical Research Institute. In addition, John is a Trustee of the Texas Foundation for Conservation and serves as a Director of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, where he is a past member of the Executive Committee. John is a past Chairman of the American Heart Association – Southwest Affiliate Board and a past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of San Antonio Academy. He is also a former member of the Executive Committee of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation, the Alamo Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, a past Board member of the Texas Research and Technology Foundation, as well as a past Board member of Clear Channel Communications. Currently, John serves on the Board of Directors of D.M. Weekley Inc. and the San Antonio Spurs. Prior to his election to The Association of Former Students’ Board of Directors, he served as a Representative at Large. John and his wife, Laura, are Endowed Century Club members and have three Aggie sons: Bart ’19, Joe ’20 and Will ’23.
