Some of these, like the GCCF, are organisations which themselves register cats and issue certified pedigrees etc.

Others are organisations which are each comprised of member bodies, such as those below, which are responsible for the registrations, certified pedigrees etc.

If you are planning to import a cat from another registering organisation, please make certain to check the GCCF registration policy for that breed before you do so. These are available on each individual breed page in the Cat Breeds section. You may find that although the cat has correct breeding for its own registry, it is not acceptably bred according to the GCCF registration policy and therefore cannot be shown or bred from.
