RAY ABSTKACT The Willow Creek district is a small but important lode-gold mining district along the southern border of the Talkeetna Mountains in southern Alaska. Gold production to date (1950) has been somewhat less than $18,000,000, or about 5 percent of Alaska's lode-gold output. Productive gold quartz veins occupy shear zones in the southern margin of the Talkeetna
