Come to the library and get a Reading & Activity Log beginning at 9am on Friday, June 1. Read and complete fun activities any time between June 1st and August 31st to earn rewards. The first 500 youth to sign up will get a free one-time admission ticket to the Faribault Family Aquatic Center!

STORYTIME Ages 0-6 years with adult caregiver Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30am Join us at the library for stories, songs, and fun! Storytime encourages language development and fosters a love of books and a lifetime of learning. Parents and caregivers will learn about early literacy and get tips on how to help their child become ready to read. No registration is required. Siblings and guests are always welcome. Storytime begins on June 5 and continues through August 9. (No storytime on 8/7.) Storytime will resume with the fall session on September 4.

HARRY POTTER MOVIE MONDAYS Weekly on Mondays in June and July, 2:00pm Join us at the library to watch the Harry Potter movies! We will start with the first film on Monday, June 11 and each Monday after we’ll show the next one until we have made it through all eight of the films! All are welcome to join us but children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

LITTLEBIGREAD Thursdays 4:00-5:00pm LittleBigRead is an informal reading buddies program for school-aged youth that pairs younger kids with older kids for one-on-one reading. Younger kids can read to or be read to by older kids or they can take turns sharing a book together. This program is meant to be a fun, no pressure way for youth to build a passion for reading for the fun of it.

VOLUNTEENS @ THE LIBRARY Grades 5-12 Would you like to help with the summer reading program by signing up readers, out prizes, reading with younger kids, and assisting at library programs? If you completed 5th-12th grade in 2018 and answered YES to all of these questions, we need YOU! Mark your calendar and come to the library’s Great Hall for training on ONE of the following sessions: Tuesday, May 29, 6:00-7:30pm OR Wednesday, May 30, 4:30-6:00pm OR Thursday, June 14, 2:00-3:30pm. In order to be a Volunteen, you must attend one of these training sessions, even if you have volunteered before.
