ONG Aharog 2014-2017 $191,445 Sector: Community Development (Water) 3147-NER Town/City: Summary: The project funds will be used to construct six new wells and rehabilitate one important existing pastoral well in the Department. When completed, these wells will supply drinking water to 1,250 families comprising some 5670 low-income pastoralists and their livestock.

Coopérative Hydroagricole “ Ikon 2015-2018 $195,263 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables) Allah » de Town/City: Dioundiou 4053-NER Summary: The project funds will be used to enable Ikon Allah to strengthen its financial and technical management capabilities, develop the new 5.5 hectare plot with a drip irrigation system, and purchase production inputs to enable cooperative members to establish and manage viable market gardens and increase overall production on both production sites.

Union des Cooperatives de la Zone 2016-2018 $66,806 Sector: Agriculture (Citrus fruits) de ( UCZT) Town/City: Timia 4305-NER Summary: The project funds will be used to address the loss of cultivation areas and increase the farmers’ revenues through the construction of protection dikes and dry stone gabions along the left bank of the Kori bordering the market gardening site of Timia.

Members will benefit from the construction of a seepage line and procurement of improved seeds and technical training to increase production.

Groupement Feminin Hinfani de 2017-2019 $87,054 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables) Town/City: Tondikiwindi (Ouallam) 4566-NER Summary: Funding will be provided to improve financial, administrative and technical management of the 100-member women’s group, as well as to protect the site from animals, develop a permanent water supply and a establish a Californian irrigation system to create the conditions for sustainable agriculture to promote development and environmental protection.

Cooperative Tamayor 2017-2019 $84,819 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables) 4629-NER Town/City: Tchintaboraq Summary: Funding will be provided to improve financial, administrative and technical management of the 66-member women’s group, establish a Californian irrigation system, and solar pumping system.

Union des Cooperatives de la 2017-2020 $121,677 Sector: Horticulture Vallee de Telawas (UCVT) Town/City: Telawas 4660-NER Summary: The project will enable UCVT to expand the area under irrigation and diversify their crops to increase production and produce higher value crops that make more efficient use of limited water.

Kautal Lumako Durobe (GIE KLD) 2017-2020 $162,885 Sector: Livestock 4676-NER Town/City: Bermo Summary: This is an expansion grant to increase the volume of sales through the Bermo herder- managed livestock market, as well as to promote improved cheese production by members to make use of excess milk. The project will result in increased incomes to members and establish KLD as a model for herder-managed livestock marketing in the sub-region.
