Conditions for Park-And-Ride Scheme Conditions for Park-and-Ride Scheme The eligibility of the motorists for the Park-and-Ride Concession: 1. Payment with Adult/Elderly Octopus or Personalised Octopus with “Persons with Disabilities Status” only; 2. Must use the same Octopus to enter and exit the Car Park and take the MTR during the parking period; 3. Take MTR and exit at any designated stations (All stations except Ma On Shan Line stations, Sheung Shui Station, Fanling Station, Tai Wo Station, Tai Po Market Station, University Station, Fo Tan Station, Sha Tin Station and Tai Wai Station) within one hundred and twenty (120) minutes after entering the Carpark; 4. Take MTR from any designated stations (All stations except Ma On Shan Line stations, Sheung Shui Station, Fanling Station, Tai Wo Station, Tai Po Market Station, University Station, Fo Tan Station, Sha Tin Station and Tai Wai Station) and exit the car park within forty-five (45) minutes after exiting the ticket gate at Sheung Shui MTR Station on the return trip; 5. The Park & Ride concession offer is available starting from 05:00 hours to 02:15 hours the next day, normal hourly rates will be charged outside these hours. 6. The Octopus should not have more than 8 transaction records between access to the carpark and payment of parking fee. Motorists who fail to meet these requirements will be charged an appropriate non Park-and-Ride hourly Carpark Fee. Conditions for Park-and-Ride Scheme shall remain unchanged even though MTR services are extended. .

Background 2. SCL, with a total length of 17 kilometres, consists of the following two sections – (a) Tai Wai to Hung Hom section: this is an extension of the Ma On Shan Line from Tai Wai via Southeast Kowloon to Hung Hom where it will join the West Rail Line; and (b) Hung Hom to Admiralty section: this is an extension of the East Rail Line from Hung Hom across the Victoria Harbour to Wan Chai North and Admiralty. 3. SCL will have ten stations. Apart from bringing improvements to the existing Tai Wai Station, the SCL project will involve construction of new stations or extension of existing stations at Hin Keng, Diamond Hill, Kai Tak, To Kwa Wan, Ma Tau Wai, Ho Man Tin, Hung Hom, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Admiralty. It is a territory-wide strategic railway project (alignment layout at Annex 1). Admiralty Station and Ho Man Tin Station will become integrated stations providing interchange service to passengers of SCL and South Island Line (East)(“SIL(E)”), as well as passengers of SCL and Kwun Tong Line Extension (“KTE”) respectively. 4. The Plan and scheme were referred to in G.N. 3263 published on 8 May 2015 and 15 May 2015. The Permanent Secretary for Transport and Housing (Transport) has further declared under section 17(1)(c) of the Ordinance that from 20 December 2019 to 19 December 2020, all public or private rights in, upon, under or over the sections of the existing carriageways, footpaths, cycle track, ramps, bus layby, covered footbridge and subway to be temporarily closed, shall be extinguished, modified or restricted, as the case may be, during that period.
