Select and make known within your delegation who the Decision Maker(s) for your institution will be. Decide how all delegates from your institution will refer to your school; all participants will be asked to change their display name to include their institution name (i.e. Clarke vs. Clarke University) Consider having a separate mode of communication for your delegation for during-caucus conversation outside of Zoom (text, Slack, GroupMe, etc.); the Zoom Chat will be used to communicate to/with the Block Booking Team who are facilitating the event. • February 26, 2021 Amazon Warehouse Workers In
February 26, 2021 Amazon warehouse workers in Bessemer, Alabama are voting to form a union with the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU). We are the writers of feature films and television series. All of our work is done under union contracts whether it appears on Amazon Prime, a different streaming service, or a television network. Unions protect workers with essential rights and benefits. Most importantly, a union gives employees a seat at the table to negotiate fair pay, scheduling and more workplace policies. Deadline Amazon accepts unions for entertainment workers, and we believe warehouse workers deserve the same respect in the workplace. We strongly urge all Amazon warehouse workers in Bessemer to VOTE UNION YES. My people have forgotten me, sacrificing in vain and stumbling in their way in ancient paths.” (Jeremias 18:13, 15) “And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: Son of man, say to her: Thou art a land that is unclean, and not rained upon in the day of wrath.

  • The Effects of Digital Music Distribution" (2012)
Southern Illinois University Carbondale OpenSIUC Research Papers Graduate School Spring 4-5-2012 The ffecE ts of Digital Music Distribution Rama A. Dechsakda [email protected] Follow this and additional works at: http://opensiuc.lib.siu.edu/gs_rp The er search paper was a study of how digital music distribution has affected the music industry by researching different views and aspects. I believe this topic was vital to research because it give us insight on were the music industry is headed in the future. Two main research questions proposed were; “How is digital music distribution affecting the music industry?” and “In what way does the piracy industry affect the digital music industry?” The methodology used for this research was performing case studies, researching prospective and retrospective data, and analyzing sales figures and graphs. Case studies were performed on one independent artist and two major artists whom changed the digital music industry in different ways. Another pair of case studies were performed on an independent label and a major label on how changes of the digital music industry effected their business model and how piracy effected those new business models as well. I analyzed sales figures and graphs of digital music sales and physical sales to show the differences in the formats. I researched prospective data on how consumers adjusted to the digital music advancements and how piracy industry has affected them. Last I concluded all the data found during this research to show that digital music distribution is growing and could possibly be the dominant format for obtaining music, and the battle with piracy will be an ongoing process that will be hard to end anytime soon.

  • Bea-Miller-One-Sheet-5.6.15.Pdf
In making her first full-length album, Bea Miller’s vision was clear. A singer/songwriter whose raspy vocals and sharp-edged pop have already earned her recognition as one of iTunes New Artist Spotlights for 2015, Rolling Stone’s “10 Artists You Need To Know”, as an MTV “Artist to Watch for 2015,” and as one of Billboard’s “10 Arists to Watch in 2015,” Bea’s main ambition was to create songs that spoke the sometimes-messy truth and helped others overcome their own hurt. “When I was younger, I never felt like I had a female artist who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, someone I could relate to and look up to,” says Bea. “Now that I’m making my own music, I want to be there for people so they can feel less alone in whatever they’re going through.” Recorded over the last year—with time out for an autumn 2014 tour with Demi Lovato—Not An Apology finds Bea fulfilling her mission by infusing her punk spirit into impassioned pop songs with a fiercely uplifting power. Featuring several tracks co-written by Bea (including her debut single “Young Blood,” a darkly charged anthem that hit the Billboard Hot 100 soon after its April 2014 release), Not An Apology mines her everyday experience for unapologetically honest lyrics about everything from bullying and backstabbers to isolation and breakup angst. “When you’re writing you have to get down to your deepest, darkest emotions, because that’s what makes a great song,” says Bea. “You need to be totally real and just put it all out there.” To capture the tension between toughness and vulnerability that propels much of Not An Apology, Bea teamed up with producers like busbee (P!nk, Kelly Clarkson), Jarrad Rogers (Icona Pop, Demi Lovato), Mike Del Rio (Kylie Minogue, Selena Gomez), and Matt Squire (Ariana Grande, Ke$ha) to craft a melody-fueled mix of gritty guitar riffs, fuzzed-out grooves, and awesomely heady beats.

  • Netflix's Big Mouth
Netflix’s Big Mouth Big Mouth = Big Topics The first season of Netflix’s new animated show Big Mouth debuted on September 29, 2017 and is very popular among teens and young adults. Boasting an all-star cast and a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the cartoon is about middle schoolers going through puberty in the most explicit, perverse, and, at times, depraved way possible. Puberty is indeed a difficult time for all of us, and while the show does bring some good to the discussion, it’s also fraught with problems. What do I need to know about Big Mouth? It’s an adult cartoon based on the real-life experiences that comic writers Nick Kroll and An- drew Goldberg had as kids growing up in New York. They share, in graphic detail, what it was like growing up and going through puberty. As most young men do, Nick and Andrew strug- gled through lust, sexuality, relationships with girls, and the ups and downs of friendship. The show features some of the most popular comedians of our time as the voices, including: John Mulaney, Fred Armisen, Kristen Wiig, and Jordan Peele. Although the show is about pre-teens, it is intended for an adult audience. However, Netflix does not effectively limit younger viewers’ access, and undoubtedly, there will be many teens and pre-teens who watch the show. Many of them have lots of questions about sex, and they will be drawn to the show in hopes of finding answers. Unfortunately, due to the content, they are likely to develop some severely warped ideas from watching it.
