Universitas Negeri Surabaya is located in Surabaya, the capital of province. One campus is at Ketintang, Surabaya and the other one is at Lidah Wetan, Surabaya. The following will present the profiles of each faculty in Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The Faculty of Education is a part of Universitas Negeri Surabaya which was established on December 19, 1964 (formerly: Surabaya Institute of Teacher Training and Education). The Faculty of Education has eight study programs, namely Elementary Teacher Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Non-School Education, Guidance and Counseling, Psychology, Education Management, and Educational Technology. The Faculty of Languages and Arts was established in 1964. As its name, the faculty has 2 major divisions of undergraduate level: languages and arts. The former has 9 studies under the 6 language departments: Indonesian, Javanese, English, German, Japanese, and Mandarin. The latter has 6 studies under the 3 departments: Fine Arts, Design, and Art Performance and Music. Faculty of Mathematics and Science has 5 departments, consisting of 9 undergraduate study programs. Faculty of Mathematics and Science hosts 3085 students, 57 administrative staff, and 150 lecturers, consisting of 15 professors (10%), 52 lecturers holding doctoral degrees (34.67%), 98 with master’s degrees (65.33%), and currently, 32 lecturers are the holders of master’s degrees, most of whom are preparing for their doctoral studies. Faculty of Social Sciences and Law has 7 departments with 11 undergraduate study programs. Those 7 departments are Pancasila and Civics Education, Public Administration, Law, Geography Education, History Education, Social Sciences, Social Sciences Education. In order to participate in educating the Indonesian, the Faculty of Engineering as part of Universitas Negeri Surabaya has the functions and responsibilities outlined in its vision and mission to become a leading educational institution especially in the field of technology and vocational education. To accomplish the vision and mission, the Faculty of Engineering currently manages the Undergraduate Education and Undergraduate Education and Professional Diploma-3 Undergraduate Programs which are spread into 5 major. The Faculty of Sport Sciences of Universitas Negeri Surabaya established in 1963 under the name of Sports College and in 1999 changed its name to the Faculty of Sport Science. The faculty has 3 undergraduate departments namely Sports Education, Sports Coaching Education, and Sports Science. Currently, the Faculty of Sport Science hosts 2.454 students, 38 administrative staff, and 86 lecturers, consisting of 5 professors (6%), 33 lecturers holding doctoral degrees (38%), 48 lecturers with master’s degrees (56%) and most of them are preparing and continuing their doctoral studies. Faculty of Economics has 4 departments, i.e. Economic Education, Management, Accounting, and Economics which consists of 8 Study Programs. The Faculty of Economics mission is explained below. The postgraduate program of Universitas Negeri Surabaya organizes advanced tertiary education programs. The graduates are prepared to become experts in the fields of supervision, administration, and educational research in certain scientific fields. As an effort to develop science, every postgraduate student is obliged to carry out research and study in the chosen field of non-education or education. The postgraduate program holds two levels as follows: 1) The master (S2) level, and 2)The doctoral (S3) level of education.
