ABSTRACT An examination through the creation and curation of a printed poetry collection, together with other practice-based and wider research, of how far digital technology has influenced contemporary poetry and the status of the poetry book. Personal practice is considered and analysed and, from this, and research leading out from this, a more general survey provided of the impact of digital technology on the poet’s persona, the creation of the poems themselves and on their dissemination. These wider issues, and the practice-based research that underlies them, inform the specific consideration of the extent to which digital technology has affected the nature and importance of the single collection poetry book in the early part of the twenty-first century.

A Bibliography of Conceptual Writing 2 A Bibliography of Conceptual Writing v1.01 compiled by yigru zeltil khora impex // 2017 3 cover based on: derek beaulieu, extract from The Duchamp Opening (2016-05-29); Calgary. No press. released in the public domain ISBN: 978-1-365-72551-7. http://khora-impex.com/ 4 The business of a poet […] is to examine, not the individual, but the species; to remark general properties and large appearances: he does not number the streaks of the tulip, or describe the different shades in the verdure of the forest. (Samuel Johnson, The History of Rasselas, Prince of Abissinia, chapter 10, paragraph 6.) 5 6 note This project consists of a permanent work-in- progress chronological list (that will continue to be updated and is accessible at http://workinprogressconpo.blogspot.com/2016/0 8/the-bibliography.html) and a bibliography of a somewhat more traditional format (authors sorted alphabetically, books sorted chronologically), that is now published with the launch of my own platform, ‘khora impex’ (co-founded with Sebastian Big, whose books I also had to include here), and may eventually receive a massively revised second edition of my own, but is going to remain open source – in other words, feel free to make your own, hopefully better edition.
