4. SB 1264 *Gresham (HB 0860 by *Shaw) Election Laws- As introduced, prohibits a person convicted of voter fraud in any state from assisting a person with voting in this state, including early voting and by absentee ballot. - Amends TCA Title 2.

SB 0071 *Watson (HB 0028 by *Hazlewood) Election Laws- As introduced, requires the officer of elections to designate the entrances to a building in which an election is to take place that are for the use of voters, and to measure off 100 feet from those entrances for purposes of restricting certain campaign-related activities. - Amends TCA Section 2-7-111.

SB 0234 *Lundberg (HB 0173 by *Lamberth) Campaigns and Campaign Finance- As introduced, requires statewide political party campaign committees to pay a registration fee to the registry of election finance; clarifies that payment of the fee by one affiliated political campaign committee includes any disclosed affiliated committees. - Amends TCA Section 2-10-121.

7. SB 0027 *Niceley (HB 0021 by *Williams) Election Laws- As introduced, changes the nomination process for candidates for United States senator. - Amends TCA Title 2, Chapter 13.

SB 0990 *Stevens (HB 1183 by *Leatherwood) Election Laws- As introduced, requires that elections in Shelby and Davidson counties for judicial offices and offices elected in countywide elections and for the legislative bodies be nonpartisan. - Amends TCA Title 2; Title 5; Title 7; Title 16 and Title 17.

9. SB 1113 *Stevens (HB 1487 by *Garrett) Election Laws- As introduced, restricts political activity of members of the registry of election finance only during the duration of their term rather than during their term and one year subsequent to their term. - Amends TCA Section 2-10-203.

SB 0192 *Robinson (HB 0160 by *Thompson) Election Laws- As introduced, authorizes voting to occur at institutions designated for elderly or disabled persons that have a qualified staff who regularly assess residents and attest that the population consists of persons of which at least 35 percent are frail, as defined by federal law. - Amends TCA Title 2 and Title 68.

11. SB 0193 *Robinson (HB 0145 by *Lamar) Election Laws- As introduced, authorizes a person who registered to vote by mail or online and who is voting for the first time to vote absentee by applying to vote absentee at any county election commission office. - Amends TCA Title 2.

12. SB 1129 *Swann (HB 0999 by *Beck) State Symbols- As introduced, designates the bluetick coonhound as the official state dog. - Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 1, Part 3.

SB 0086 *Akbari (HB 0007 by *Powell) Campaigns and Campaign Finance- As introduced, authorizes the use of campaign funds for the child care expenditures of a candidate that are incurred by the candidate as a direct result of the candidate's participation in campaign-related events and activities. - Amends TCA Title 2, Chapter 10 and Title 3.

14. SB 0087 *Akbari (HB 0877 by *Dixie, Jernigan, Chism, Potts, Love, Johnson G) Election Laws- As introduced, extends the time by which a candidate may withdraw, from seven days after the qualifying deadline to 60 days before the election. - Amends TCA Title 2, Chapter 5.

SB 0090 *Akbari, Gilmore (HB 0133 by *Love) Election Laws- As introduced, authorizes the use of a driver license from another state to establish a person's identity for the purposes of being issued a photo identification license by the department of safety for the purposes of voting. - Amends TCA Title 2 and Title 55, Chapter 50.

SB 0503 *Akbari (HB 0768 by *Love) Election Laws- As introduced, requires county election commissions to conduct a supplemental registration at public and private high schools once each fall and spring semester; authorizes high schools to provide opportunities for students to register to vote online at times other than the supplemental registrations. - Amends TCA Title 2 and Title 49.

17. SB 1154 *Akbari (HB 1311 by *Chism) Election Laws- As introduced, requires a state primary board to strive to fill a vacancy on a county primary board not later than 45 days after receiving notice of the vacancy. - Amends TCA Title 2.

SB 0829 *Akbari (HB 1057 by *Clemmons) Election Laws- As introduced, extends the time before an election, from 45 days prior to 50 days prior, that a county election commission must publish in a newspaper of general circulation a notice advising elderly voters and voters with a disability that if such voters' polling places are inaccessible, such voters have the right to vote early by absentee ballot or at the election commission office on election day. - Amends TCA Title 2.

21. SB 0837 *Akbari (HB 1002 by *Beck) Election Laws- As introduced, requires every applicant for a driver license or photo identification card to be automatically registered to vote upon the applicant's 18th birthday; makes other related revisions. - Amends TCA Title 55.

22. SB 0872 *Akbari (HB 1484 by *Towns) Campaigns and Campaign Finance- As introduced, authorizes the use of campaign funds for the payment of fines, fees, and penalties assessed for the violation of campaign finance laws. - Amends TCA Title 2, Chapter 10.

23. SB 0873 *Akbari (HB 1485 by *Towns) Campaigns and Campaign Finance- As introduced, sets a maximum for civil penalties for violations of campaign finance laws issued by the registry of election finance of $1,000. -

24. SB 0880 *Akbari (HB 0590 by *Thompson) Election Laws- As introduced, requires a court to impose an additional $1,000 fine for a conviction for certain prohibited election practices. - Amends TCA Title 2 and Title 40.

SB 1354 *Yager (HB 0911 by *Keisling) Election Laws- As introduced, provides notice and a reasonable time period in which a candidate who has been determined by the executive committee of a political party to be unqualified may respond to such determination before removal of the candidate's name from the ballot. - Amends TCA Section 2-5-204.

SB 1355 *Yager, McNally (HB 0185 by *Sexton C) Election Laws- As introduced, revises method of nomination for a candidate in a special election for a state senate seat held in conjunction with the November regular election when the vacancy occurs within 45 days of the election. - Amends TCA Title 2.

30. SB 0047 *Yager (HB 0013 by *Boyd) Election Laws- As introduced, requires county election commission to comply with terms of insurance policy with respect to legal representation and certain expenses. - Amends TCA Title 2, Chapter 12.

33. SB 0727 *Reeves (HB 1077 by *Rudd) Election Laws- As introduced, requires the coordinator of elections to continue to study convenience voting in other states and periodically update the general assembly by January 31 every odd-numbered year. - Amends TCA Title 2, Chapter 3, Part 3.

SB 0762 *Yarbro (HB 0214 by *Clemmons) Election Laws- As introduced, permits any registered Tennessee voter to vote absentee for any reason after providing a certification as to the identity of the voter in the application for a ballot; requires an absentee ballot to be counted for the election in which the ballot is cast; deletes the requirement that a voter who registers by mail must vote the first time in person. - Amends TCA Title 2.

SB 0777 *Yarbro (HB 0334 by *Hodges, Clemmons, Lamar) Election Laws- As introduced, requires department of safety to automatically register a qualified person to vote from information on an application for a driver license or photo identification card unless the person opts out; designates certain other state departments, and agencies and offices thereof, as voter registration agencies; requires such agencies to automatically register a qualified person to vote from information on an application for services unless the person opts out. - Amends TCA Title 2 and Title 4.

SB 0940 *Yarbro (HB 0735 by *Hodges) Election Laws- As introduced, permits a person at least 16 years of age but not more than 18 years of age to be registered to vote upon turning 18 years of age through submittal of an application for a driver's permit, driver license, or photo identification license with the department of safety. - Amends TCA Title 2.

SB 1014 *Yarbro (HB 1413 by *Towns) Election Laws- As introduced, requires, rather than permits, an elections officer to escort a voter who is a person with a disability or who is visibly pregnant or frail to the front of the line at a polling place at the request of the voter. - Amends TCA Title 2.

39. SB 1017 *Yarbro (HB 1095 by *Freeman) Election Laws- As introduced, requires a brief summary of any question, regardless of length, submitted to the people for a vote. - Amends TCA Title 2.

SB 0970 *Jackson (HB 0599 by *Curcio) Election Laws- As introduced, reduces, from not more than 90 days nor less than 10 days to not more than 60 days nor less than 10 days, the time within which the county election commission must appoint election officials before an election. - Amends TCA Title 2.

SJR 0181 *Briggs General Assembly, Statement of Intent or Position- Declares that prior authorization requirements from insurance providers should be removed when a healthcare professional provides or seeks to provide medication assisted treatment to a patient with a substance use disorder and declares substance use disorder and opioid use disorder should be insured in the same manner as other diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. -

Employees, Employers - As introduced, prohibits a medical review officer from considering prescriptions issued more than six months prior to a positive confirmed drug result for purposes of determining a valid prescription and immunity from actions authorized for employers to take against employees and job applicants following such a result. - Amends TCA Title 8 and Title 50.

SB 0611 *Massey (HB 0973 by *Littleton, Curcio) Domestic Violence- As introduced, creates a Class A misdemeanor offense of persuading or influencing a witness or prospective witness, in a manner that does not meet the definition of coercion, to testify falsely, withhold truthful information, or to elude legal process in a case involving a domestic abuse victim. - Amends TCA Title 29; Title 35; Title 36; Title 37; Title 38; Title 39 and Title 40.

SB 1341 *Massey (HB 1295 by *Farmer) Domestic Violence- As introduced, requires the domestic violence coordinating council, in coordination with the administrative office of the courts, to revise the affidavit of firearms dispossession form to require only a signature from a defendant convicted of domestic violence. - Amends TCA Section 39-13-111. 16

SB 0035 *Gilmore (HB 0135 by *Love) Criminal Offenses- As introduced, creates the Class C felony offense of reckless endangerment by discharging a firearm into a parade, religious service, concert, athletic event, political event, educational event, or into any other group of 25 or more people who are lawfully assembled. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 13, Part 1.

SB 0765 *Yarbro (HB 0994 by *Beck) Guardians and Conservators- As introduced, decreases from 60 to 40 years the age at which a disabled person with no family member or other person, bank, or corporation willing and able to serve as conservator may be appointed a district public guardian. - Amends TCA Title 34, Chapter 7.
