We’re in This Together Do you know someone in our community who may need help during these challenging times? Maybe it's someone who needs help with picking up groceries or someone who is lonely and could use a friendly message from people in our community? We have many community members who would be very happy to help spread some positivity during these difficult times. Please contact Heather at [email protected] us if you know anyone having a difficult time because we want to help.

Community League Memberships – Help Support Community Activities The cost for a Community League Membership is $20/year per family and the money raised from the memberships helps fund activities in our community such as the kids’ holiday parties and other events. It also gives you discounts on classes and events at the Hall and the opportunity to vote at league meetings. Please contact Heather at [email protected] to sign up. Thanks for your support!

All Classes and Activities at the Hall Postponed With all that is going on right now, we have decided to postpone all classes at the South Cooking Lake Hall. Keeping our community safe is always our top priority. We will be in touch with everyone who has registered for classes and we look forward to resuming once it is safe to do so.

Comedy Night Has a New Date We're happy to set a new night for our comedy night at the South Cooking Lake Hall. It will be on Friday, September 11. The comedian will be Jimmy the Janitor. Check out his website at www.jimmythejanitor.com. He performs throughout and was at a little while ago and the feedback was great so we’re excited to have him visit our Hall. Tickets are $30 and are available at Roundabouts Store. There will be a beef on a bun dinner included. For more information, contact Dave at 780-901-7260.

Plans for 100th Anniversary Celebration 2023 marks the 100-year anniversary of the South Cooking Lake Community League - and plans have begun for how we should celebrate this important milestone! If you have suggestions for ways to mark the occasion, please let us know. Some suggestions have been a mural painted on the side of the Community Hall, community gardens, walking bridges added to the marshy areas of the lake, an airplane monument, etc. We want to hear from you! The more help we have, the more things we can do. Contact Heather at [email protected] with your ideas and to find out how you can get involved. Kids Spring Soccer Program Our soccer program is currently on hold. We have not accepted any registrations or payments yet .... and we will keep you posted if we are able to move forward for May and June if it is safe to do so. Contact Heather at [email protected] for more information.
