Search for Missing Plane in Oklahoma Results in 21 Media Clips for CAP Search for Missing Plane in Oklahoma Results in 21 Media Clips for CAP SUMMARY OVERVIEW Crews searching Thursday for a Heber Springs pilot whose flight went missing Oct. 21 found the 71-year-old pilot dead at the crash site that included mangled wreckage and a large debris field. The discovery occurred several hours after Civil Air Patrol found a weak transponder signal coming out of the southwest part of the county near the Pushmataha County line. An Oklahoma Highway Patrol helicopter headed to the area with LeFlore and Pushmataha deputies and CAP officers searching on foot. Elmer Ray Broadbent’s body and his plane both were found just within the Pushmataha County line about 2 p.m. The search generated several days of regional publicity for CAP – 21 media clips in all. Among them were these four clips from the Fort Smith, Ark., area. The video report from 5 News (below) quoted Capt. Rick Rutledge, PAO for the Oklahoma Wing. 5 News KFSM/KXNW (Fort Smith-Fayetteville) http://5newsonline.com/2013/10/22/heber-springs-mans-airplane-reported-missing-after-takeoff/ (Oct. 24, Oct. 22) 40/29 TV.com KHBS-TV/KHOG-TV (Fort Smith-Fayetteville) http://www.4029tv.com/news/arkansas/Missing-plane-found/-/8897494/22623708/-/13jtql4z/- /index.html (Oct. 24) Southwest Times Record (Fort Smith, Ark., serving western Ark. and eastern Okla.) http://swtimes.com/news/body-missing-pilot-found-just-outside-leflore-county (Oct. 25) http://swtimes.com/news/pilot-plane-still-missing-after-search-leflore-county (Oct. 23) OTHER MEDIA PUBLISHING STORIES News On 6 KOTV (Tulsa) http://www.newson6.com/story/23782641/crews-in-leflore-county-find-missing-plane-71-year- old-pilot-dead (Oct. 24) http://www.newson6.com/story/23762085/crews-search-for-71-year-old-missing-pilot-in-leflore- scott-counties (Oct. 23) News 9 KWTV (Oklahoma City) http://www.news9.com/story/23782641/crews-in-leflore-county-find-missing-plane-71-year-old- pilot-dead (Oct. 24) http://www.news9.com/story/23778178/search-continues-for-plane-missing-in-east- okla?t=2013-10-24T09%3a58%3a02Z (Oct. 24) NewsOK (website for The Oklahoman in Oklahoma City) http://newsok.com/search-continues-for-plane-missing-in-east-oklahoma/article/3896986 (Oct. 24) KFOR-TV NewsChannel 4 (Oklahoma City) http://kfor.com/2013/10/24/crews-find-missing-plane-71-year-old-pilot-dead/ (Oct. 24) Fox25 KOTH-TV (Oklahoma City) http://www.okcfox.com/story/23778178/search-continues-for-plane-missing-in-east-okla (Oct. 24, Oct. 22) KAIT-TV (ABC affiliate in Jonesboro, Ark.) http://www.kait8.com/story/14880349/this-hour-latest-arkansas-news-sports-business-and- entertainment?t=2013-10-24T13%3a35%3a03Z (Oct. 25) http://www.kait8.com/story/23781047/search-continues-for-plane-missing-in-east-okla (Oct. 24) KJRH-TV (Tulsa’s NBC affiliate) http://www.kjrh.com/dpp/news/state/search-for-plane-continues-in-le-flore-county-after-pilot- plane-go-missing-monday (Oct. 24) KTEN-TV (NBC affiliate in Texoma, Tex., serving SE Okla.) http://www.kten.com/story/23778178/search-continues-for-plane-missing-in-east-okla?t=2013- 10-24T09%3a58%3a02Z (Oct. 24) KTUL-TV Tulsa’s Channel http://www.ktul.com/story/23778178/search-continues-for-plane-missing-in-east-okla (Oct. 24) NewsChannel 10 KFDA (Amarillo, Tex.) http://www.newschannel10.com/story/23778178/search-continues-for-plane-missing-in-east- okla (Oct. 24) Poteau (Okla.) www.cablefaxdaily.com, Published by Access Intelligence, LLC, Tel: 301-354-2101 Cablefax DailyTM Thursday — February 1, 2018 What the Industry Reads First Volume 29 / No. 021 Up Ahead: AT&T CEO Bullish on DirecTV Now AT&T’s CEO touted the upcoming next-generation version of DirecTV Now, set to debut this spring, as a way to open up a new market for the vMVPD service. “With new functionality, we think we can get higher penetration,” Randall Stephenson said during the company’s 4Q earnings call Wednesday. “We’re actually very bullish on DirecTV Now. We’re convinced the economics will continue to improve as we move over the next couple of years.” The updated ver- sion will include features such as a cloud DVR, a third stream and enhancements to the user interface. DirecTV Now is already outpacing linear customer accounts in terms of net additions, with 368K adds in 4Q for 1.2mln customers total. DirecTV lost 147K subs in 4Q, while U-verse shed 60K. Execs said the DirecTV Now sub base has a disproportion- ate number of millennial and MDU customers, but said there was no dramatic uptick of existing full-product custom- ers making the shift. Before year-end, DirecTV plans to roll out the next-gen product in a home-centric configuration, with a thin hardware client. Stephenson said it’ll be small, inexpensive and able to connect to any broadband service. It’ll also have a voice controlled UI and integrated search feature across any streaming service subscribed to. Wash- ington led the start of AT&T’s earnings remarks, with Stephenson reiterating the company’s call for a legislative fix to keep the “regulatory pendulum” on Title II from swinging back and forth and to provide clarity.
