DRAINAGE AREA.--700 mi2. PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1958 to current year. GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,146.03 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to Oct. 1, 1987 at site 1.7 miles downstream at datum 1.43 ft lower. REMARKS.--Records good except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers rain gage and data collection platform with satellite telemetry at station. Precipitation records are available online at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website: www2.mvr.usace.army.mil/ WaterControl/datamining2.cfm. EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--Flood of June 21, 1954, reached a stage of 15.61 ft, from floodmark, discharge, 7,000 ft3/s. DRAINAGE AREA.--23.3 mi2. PERIOD OF RECORD.--April 1970 to September 1975; April 1978 to September 1992, October 1994 to current year. GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,213.50 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 7.00 ft below crest of spillway of dam at outlet. Prior to June 25, 1970, nonrecording gage at lake outlet. Prior to Jan. 22, 2001, at datum 5.0 ft higher. REMARKS.--Gage height was considered reliable for the year. Lake is formed by concrete dam with ungated overflow spillway at elevation 1,220.50 ft. above sea level. Lake is used for conservation and recreation. Area of lake is approximately 957 acres. U.S. Geological Survey data collection platform with satellite telemetry at station.
