She joined Eckerd in 1974 and has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibilities including Regional Business Manager, Senior District Manager and Area Manager. Her most recent position was Director of Photo Operations. She attended Saint Petersburg Junior College.

The vice president of general merchandise takes on the responsibilities of the merchandising activities for the categories of housewares, toys, stationery, electronics and seasonal goods. Mr. Bruder will serve in that capacity. Mr. Bruder joined Eckerd in 1984 and has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibilities including Category Manager, Senior Buyer, Buyer and Assistant Buyer. His most recent position was Director of Seasonal and Imports. Mr. Bruder is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.

Joe Miller has become Senior Director of Photo Merchandising and will be responsible for all photo merchandise including film, cameras, frames, albums and overnight and one-hour photo business. Mr. Miller joined Eckerd in 1996 as Category Manager of Photo. Prior to joining Eckerd, he was a Category Manager with Drugs and Hooks SupeRxDrugs. Mr. Miller is a graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.

These appointments enhance the photo operations, general merchandise and photo merchandise businesses within our company and position them well for the future.

ECKERD PROMOTES THREE EMPLOYES TO VICE PRESIDENT POSITIONS

CLEARWATER, Fla.— Eckerd Corporation, one of America’s largest retail drug chains, has promoted three employees to vice president positions effective Monday, May 26. These appointments will enhance the photo operations and the general and photo merchandise businesses within Eckerd and position them well for the future. Director of photo operations Mona Furlott has been appointed to vice president of express photo operations and will be in charge of Eckerd’s one-hour photo lab. Furlott has been with the corporation since 1974 and has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibilities.
