TERMS AND CONDITIONS AAT KINGS The following terms and conditions apply for the Grant Broadcasters AAT KINGS / AUSSIE ADVENTURE promotion. These terms and conditions apply in conjunction with Grant Broadcasters Network General Contest Rules. Where there is any inconsistency, these terms and conditions will prevail. Participating Stations: 4RO Rockhampton, 4CA Cairns, 4MK Mackay, Power 100 Townsville, 4BU Bundaberg 1. DURATION th The active promotion will begin Monday 8 May until Friday 26 May. 2. METHOD OF ENTRY Listeners will be invited to be the random caller through upon hearing one of our cue to call which can play at any time across the day. The contestant will then go through to the major prize draw. 3. PRIZE There will be one major prize for this promotion inclusive of: ● Return airfares to from closest airport to Ayers Rock / Alice Springs ● 6 day Red Centre Safari tour with AAT Kings inclusive of accommodation, coach transfers, 5 breakfasts and 2 dinners ● Prize is valid until 31 December 2017 and blockout dates apply. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Airport transfers, some meals and other incidentals are at the expense of the prize winner. Prize contents or description may change at the discretion of Grant Broadcasters. 4. SELECTION OF WINNERS The winner of the major prize will be randomly drawn from all entrants on Friday 26 May. 5. NOTIFICATION Prize winner will be notified on air at the time of winning. The winner will then be contacted by phone call to arrange collection of the Major Prize. 6. INDEMNITY All contestants release from, and indemnify GRANT BROADCASTERS against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise. 7. ENTRY CONDITIONS. Employees and their immediate families of are ineligible to enter. Employees and their immediate families of all associated sponsors and participating companies are also ineligible to enter. If after winners announcement a breach of eligibility is discovered, the prize will not be awarded. 8. ALTERATION OF CONTEST SPOTS. Grant Broadcasters reserves the right to alter or drop contest hours from the competition in any or all markets due to changed programming conditions in the event of a natural disaster or for any other unforeseeable reason. .

MEDIA RELEASE 29 September 2016 Radio ratings for Central Queensland Radio ratings for Central Queensland, which takes in Rockhampton and Gladstone, will be released today for the first time since 2001 as part of the commercial radio industry’s regional research program. Commercial stations Hot FM, Sea FM, classic hits and talk station 4RO and AM station 4CC serve a population of 154,000 aged 10+ in the region. Joan Warner, chief executive officer of industry body Commercial Radio Australia, said commercial radio had been broadcasting in the region since the early 1930s, with some of the first programs on air being rugby league broadcasts and dance programs in the evening. “Radio has played a key part in the development of Queensland’s regional economies since the early days and it’s still a strong focus for the local communities,” she said. The survey is one of 25 radio surveys to be undertaken across regional Australia this year to measure the reach of regional radio. The survey results for Central Queensland will be available from 10am AEST on the Radio It’s A Love Thing website. Regional surveys have been released since 2014 for the following areas: Albany, Albury, Bundaberg, Cairns, Coffs Harbour, Colac, Darwin, Dubbo, Gosford, Griffith, Hamilton, Hobart, Horsham, Kalgoorlie, Kempsey (Port Macquarie), Mackay, Maryborough, Mt Gambier, Orange, Sale, Shepparton, Sunshine Coast, Swan Hill, Toowoomba, Townsville, Wagga Wagga, Warrnambool, Warragul and Wollongong. Queensland A.M. Radio Stations. Part of the most comprehensive list ever compiled of Australian A.M. broadcasting stations. 4CM Brisbane 02-1920. Experimental station owned by Dr Val McDowall on longwave using 20 watts. Built by Thomas Elliott (Australia’s television pioneer and first Chief Engineer of 4BC). Operated by Charles Stevens from experimental station 4RG (later an original staff member of 4QG). Broadcast regular Sunday night concerts 1921-1922, and live broadcasts from His Majesty’s Theatre. Moved into the Old Windmill Tower in 1926, and conducted the first Australian television experiments from 1929 with a 30 line Baird system. Moved to medium wave (1250 KHz.) using 10 watts in August 1933. Granted Australia’s first television licence on 1-7-1934 (also the first television licence in the Southern Hemisphere). Television transmissions (earlier called ‘radiovision’) were daily from 1935 for one hour at 7- 30 PM with an increase to 180 lines on 136 metres, and often received in Melbourne. The first faces on Australian television were Mickey Mouse playing the piano in an M.G.M. cartoon on 10-4-1934, followed by film star Janet Gaynor in 1935 (see separate “Australia’s First Licensed Television Station” article). His television equipment used to be displayed at the Brisbane Royal Historical Society. Val McDowell also experimented with X-rays and was a radiology consultant for the Queensland Government. 4AE Brisbane 1920. Experimental station owned by the Wireless Institute of Australia using a 10 watt transmitter at Dutton Park. Their callsign was later changed to 4WI. On air 2000-2200 every Tuesday.

RG Capital Radio Limited Submission to the House of Representatives Communications Committee Inquiry into The Adequacy of Radio Services in Non-Metropolitan Australia 10 November 2000 Inquiry into the Adequacy of Radio Services in Non-Metropolitan Australia Executive Summary As the second largest regional radio operator in Australia. RG Capital Radio Limited (RGCR) has a strong interest in the inquiry into the adequacy of radio services in non-metropolitan Australia being conducted by the House of Representatives Communications Committee (HoRCC). RGCR has built its regional radio group from providing one commercial radio service in one regional market to providing 28 commercial radio services to 17 non- metropolitan markets over the past 11 years. RGCR services are listened to by 1.35 million people in regional Australia each week. The popularity of RGCR services (as demonstrated by the fact that RGCR services rate strongly in each of their markets1) illustrates that our radio services meet the current entertainment needs of people in regional Australia. As the HoRCC may be aware, on 26 October 2000, RGCR listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. The RG Capital Radio Limited Prospectus outlined that RGCR’s critical success factors include: • effective programming, resulting in RGCR having significant ratings in all its markets; • offering “live and local” programming between 5.00am and 6.00pm, which attracts local audiences; and • it’s well trained and committed employees. These factors would appear to be central to the inquiry being conducted by the HoRCC, and are addressed in detail in this submission. RGCR is pleased to provide the committee with an overview of the programming it provides to its audiences, as set out on pages 4-10 of this submission.
