Melchers SPACE Anz.A4_print.indd 1 15.07.19 18:00 AUTUMN CONFERENCE WELCOME

Dear Attendees,

Welcome to Munich, Germany and the IMGL 2019 Autumn Conference!

Wulf Hambach and Joerg Hofmann and the rest of the conference committee have put together a superb program which addresses the leading topics being faced currently by the gambling sector, both in Europe and globally. These topics will be covered both by our keynote speaker (Harald Neumann, the CEO of Novomatic), as well as regulators from a number of jurisdictions.

In addition to panels on topics such as the ‘Future of Gaming’, ‘Gaming on TV’ and ‘AI’, there will be a number of round table sessions enabling discussions to take place directly between attendees and regulators on issues, such as diversity, enforcement and the future of gambling. These discussion groups are intended to be collaborative and open dialogue sessions, so please feel free to participate.

The global coverage of IMGL’s membership will be demonstrated by topics involving leading gambling lawyers (also IMGL members) from Latin America, Eastern Europe and North America.

There will also be a range of social events including a Gala Dinner at BMW World and the closing reception will be held at Bayerischer Hof. Also, there will be special events for younger attendees, including a breakfast on Friday, 13 September at the Park Café.

I would also like to thank the following sponsors for their support of the IMGL 2019 Autumn Conference: Melchers, Gauselmann, NOVOMATIC, Play’n Go, Magic Sports Media GmbH, TÜV Rheinland, Schneider Schiffer Weihermüller, Table Trac, Saiber, BMM and Spectrum Gaming. Of particular note, a huge thank you to Melchers as the opening reception sponsor and Play’n Go for their part in sponsoring the closing reception.

IMGL is also proud and honoured to have keynote speakers Harald Neumann, the CEO of Novomatic, who will be opening the conference; and Trude Felde, President of IAGR & Senior Adviser of Norwegian Gaming Authority, who will speak at IMGL’s Award Luncheon on Thursday.

Thank you for coming and joining us in Munich. If this is your first time here, Munich is the cosmopolitan capital of Bavaria and is home to world class museums, sprawling parks, beautiful baroque palaces and the entire city is steeped in history. While Oktoberfest tends to be the first thing people think of doing when they visit Munich, there is so much more to the city than its famous beer festival. Our conference’s opening reception, sponsored by Melchers, will be held at our host hotel, The Charles Hotel, and our Gala Dinner will be held at BMW World.

I hope you enjoy your time in Munich and have some time to enjoy some of the greatness that the city has to offer.

Best wishes,

Jamie Nettleton President International Masters of Gaming Law
