Why was selected as shooting location for James Bond’s latest movie “Quantum of Solace”? Maybe because since ancient times Benaco offered its visitors a unique natural setting as well as entertainment and breathtaking landscapes and views that have captivated film makers, too.

Programme

Day 1 Arrival in your good 3* hotel in the northern area of lake Garda Room assignment, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Today we explore the northern shore of Lake Garda surrounded by lush greenery. With our tour escort we travel to Valley and stop off at Lake Ledro where the remains of Bronze Age settlements are still to be found. Next stop is Limone sul Garda, a small jewel on the western shore of Lake Garda. From here Michele or Erika take us by bus through the Limone sul Garda “Forra” (gorge) like until we reach Pieve di Tremosine. Along the way you enjoy a 360 degree stunning view on Lake Garda. We stop off for a drink before travelling further along this marvellous road. In one of the movie’s main scenes the Aston Martin driven by James Bond is chased by the bad men on the western Gardesana of towards Limone. We head northwards through the tunnel surrounded by rock on the on side and the blue lake waters on the other side. Further up on the road running from Tremosine port through the „Forra“: the deep Lake Ledro gorge of the Brasa stream defined by Wiston Churcill „the 8th wonder of the world“.

Day 3 Lake Garda is surrounded by a setting of mountains, gentle plains, hills, olive trees, palms and oleanders. With our tour escort we reach Garda on the Riviera of the Olives and later in the south. In the afternoon we head for Valpolicella where we visit a wine cellar and sample excellent wines.
