Scientific Interests: Taxonomy, fauna, ecology and the geography of Lepidoptera in the Central Asia, South Europe, the Middle East, South-East Asia, South Africa, South America.

Participated Fieldwork Programs of the Cesa:

Between 1998 and 2019, numerous expeditions in all parts of Turkey.

In 1999 expeditions to Tengri Téghi (South Kazachstan and North Kirgizistan), including Alexander Alatau, Issykkul, Kungey Alatau, Terskey Alatau, Transili (=Zailiskyi) Alatau, Ketmen Mts., Sjugaty Mts., Kharac Mts; in 2000, expedition to Tengri Téghi (South Kazachstan), including Soguty Mts., Trans- Ili (=Zailiskyi) Alatau and Syr- Darja Karatau.

In 2002, between February-June, expeditions to South and Central Spain together with entomological team of Murcia University (Spain). In the same year, participated to the laboratory programs and seminers on the molecular researches on various Spanish Carabidae groups.

In 2003 (January, February, November, December) and 2004 (March, April, August, September) field studies on the fauna and ecology of the butterflies and moths of the Soutpansberg Mountains, Northern Transvaal, South Africa, organized by the CESA and the Soutpansberg Concervancy, LouisTrichardt/Lajuma.

In 2005, field studies on the fauna and ecology of the butterflies and moths of Uighur Autonomous Region. In 2005 (November, December) field studies on the fauna and ecology of the butterflies and moths of Chiang Mai and its vicinity, Northern Thailand, organized by the CESA and the Chiang Mai University, Faculty of Science, Thailand.

In 2006 (March - May) field studies on the fauna and ecology of the butterflies and moths of Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai and their vicinity, Northern Thailand, organized by the CESA and the Chiang Mai University, Faculty of Science, Thailand
