For a leader to be successful and influential they must encompass the needs and opinions of those they lead. To me now leadership is about awareness, both of yourself and those you are leading.”

Impact from our 2011 / 2012 cohort:

 97% of UpRisers now recognise themselves as leaders, with 99% now believing that they have the power and skills to change issues that affect them and their local community  98% reported that they now “know about their own community, including its needs, patterns, diversity, and other leaders within the area”  98% of UpRisers identified the programme as having given them a chance to do new things, and 95% of UpRisers said that they had made valuable networks of contacts  95% reported strengthened emotional intelligence, showing UpRising’s far‐reaching and profound effect on participant’s behaviours and thinking
