Medium Flavored Mild Medium flavored Mild — Medium Flavored Acid Cigars by Drew Estate Blondie Acid Blondie Belicoso Connecticut is mild to medium in body with the Blondie shape finished in a pigtail head. Blondie cigars are mainstays with their mellow and sweet blends and captivating aromas. Ringed in metallic blue, this line is the careful combination of the finest mild cigar/ tobaccos and aromatic blending. These cigars are the smokes of choice by those seeking total relaxation from the daily rigors of life. Strength: Mild-Medium | Shape: Corona | Wrapper: Connecticut | Origin: Nicaragua | Flavored: Yes | Pressed: No | Has Tip: No | Binder: Nicaraguan | Filler: Nicaraguan | Sweet: Yes Java By Drew Estate “Latte” Java is a subtly sweet Nicaraguan that features a dark, oily maduro wrapper stretched across an aged blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers. While aging, these cigars have been slowly infused with the delicious flavor of gourmet mocha, morphing a traditional Nicaraguan cigar into a incredibly rich cigar filled with hints of mocha that burns smooth from start to finish, leaving an extremely pleasant aroma in its wake. What’s this ‘Latte’ all about, you ask? The Java Latte employs a silky-smooth Connecticut Ecuador wrapper rather than the standard Connecticut Broad-leaf. The result is a mellow and creamy sensation with all that Java awesomeness you’ve come to love. Strength: Mild-Medium | Shape: Robusto | Wrapper: Connecticut Broad-leaf | Origin: Nicaragua | Flavored: Yes | Pressed: Yes | Filler: Nicaraguan | Sweet: Yes Acid Cigars By Drew Estate Kuba Kuba Robusto Acid Kuba Kuba Robusto Sumatra Infused cigars have often been referred to as “an aromatic powerhouse”. This reputation is due to the secret recipe of botanicals, oils and herbs that Jonathan Drew uses to infuse super premium tobacco that combine to deliver medium body flavors found nowhere else than an Acid Cigar. Strength: Mild-Medium | Shape: Robusto | Wrapper: Sumatra | Origin: Nicaragua | Flavored: Yes | Pressed: No | Has Tip: No | Binder: Nicaraguan | Filler: Nicaraguan | Sweet: Yes Java Mint By Drew Estate “Mint” Corona Java Mint is an exceedingly flavorful handmade built with a rich blend of aged Nicaraguan long-fillers inside a thick and oily, 3-year aged Brazilian Mata Fina maduro wrapper. During the aging process, these cigars have been slowly infused with the delicious subtleties of gourmet mocha with select mints to develop a unique handmade with no comparison. A rich, traditional, medium-bodied hand-made filled with hints of mocha, coffee, vanilla, and mint that burns silky-smooth and creamy down to the nub, leaving behind a lovely sweetness after each puff along the aw y. Strength: Mild-Medium | Shape: Corona | Wrapper: Brazilian | Origin: Nicaragua | Flavored: Yes | Pressed: Yes | Has Tip: No | Filler: Nicaraguan | Sweet: Yes Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Reserva Real cigars, Like the Romeo Viejo, are a more rich and flavorful blend than you may be accustomed to with Romeo. Adding a healthy helping of Nicaraguan long-filler to the traditional Dominican blend, you’ll notice a more flavorful, heartier cigar than the 1875 line. Add an Ecuadorian grown Connecticut Shade wrapper to smooth the flavora bit, while adding the right amount of spice to the palate to keep things interesting. Strength: Mild-Medium | Shape: Toro | Wrapper: Ecuador Connecticut | Origin: Dominican Republic | Flavored: No | Pressed: No | Has Tip: No | Binder: Nicaraguan | Filler: Dominican, Nicaraguan | Sweet: No Medium medium Arturo Fuente Hemingway Masterpiece Perfecto Behold 9 inches of pure smoking bliss. This highly sought after cigar is handmade by only the most experienced cigar makers, each of whom are limited to only 75 cigars per day. The Arturo Fuente Hemingway is aged for six months to fully enhance the flavor and aroma in cedar lined aging rooms. You may need most of the evening to finish this giant, but you will love every minute of it. Strength: Medium | Shape: Perfecto | Wrapper: Cameroon | Origin: Dominican Republic | Flavored: No | Pressed: No | Has Tip: No | Binder: Dominican | Filler: Dominican | Sweet: No La Aurora 1495 Series In 1495, Christopher Columbus sailed to the Dominican Republic, where he arrived at the fertile valley of Cibao, home of today’s finest Dominican tobaccos and founding the city of Santiago de los Caballeros. La Aurora’s 1495 Series honors the foundation of this city with a supremely-made, medium bodied blend, the factory’s greatest accomplishment to date. Combining a complex, but patiently aged, blend of Dominican Corojo and Dominican-seed ligero grown in Nicaragua, the 1495 is adorned with a stunning, marbleized Ecuadorian-grown wrapper leaf that’s thick, toothy and loaded with pop. Chewy hints of leather and spice excite the taste buds without overpowering the palate, keeping the flavors smooth and balanced from first light to your very last puff. Strength: Medium | Shape: Belicoso | Wrapper: Ecuador Habano | Origin: Dominican Republic | Flavored: No | Pressed: No | Has Tip: No | Binder: Corojo, Dominican | Filler: Dominican, Nicaraguan, Peruvian | Sweet: No Cao Colombia Vallenato Using tobaccos rarely seen in premium cigars, finely aged Colombian tobaccos are woven throughout this unique gem. For the past fifteen years, farmers have been meticulously cultivating and perfecting a newly coveted tobacco referred to as, “Ica Mazinga.” CAO Colombia employs this distinctive leaf and graces the palate with a marvelously medium-bodied adventure. Boasting a natural wrapper and featuring unique nuances of toasted nuts, coffee, and a slightly sweetn ’ salty finish, CAO Colombia delivers a delicious, premium experience. Strength: Medium | Shape: Robusto | Wrapper: Nicaraguan | Origin: Nicaragua | Flavored: No | Pressed: No | Has Tip: No | Binder: Cameroon | Filler: Brazilian, Colombian | Sweet: No Cohiba Red Dot Corona Often called “red dot” Cohibas due to the markings on the band, this exquisite cigar offers a medium-bodied flavor and a strong, smooth and incredibly rich character. Handmade with a toothy Cameroon wrapper and aged mixture of Dominican-grown Piloto Cubano tobaccos, Cohiba’s blend sets the standard among today’s premium cigars. Medium to full-bodied, this decadent beast comes dressed for battle in a dark and oily Connecticut Broad-leaf wrapper. A peek under the armor reveals a luscious and hearty blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers setting the table for a flavorful feast at the round table. Flavors abound, including hearty and pleasing notes of dark chocolate, coffee, leather, cedar, with light spice playing in the background for the duration. Strength: Medium – Full | Shape: Perfecto | Wrapper: Connecticut Broad-leaf | Origin: Nicaragua | Fla vored: No | Pressed: No | Has Tip: No | Filler: Honduran, Nicaraguan | Sweet: No Brick House Corona Larga Brick House is a gorgeous Nicaraguan pure crafted with a dark, reddish-brown Habano wrapper and a robust blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers. The result is a medium to full-bodied cigar that’s rich, flavorful, and smooth. Notes of earth, cedar, pepper, and oc ffee are complemented by a toasty, slightly sweet finish. Well-made, tasty, and modestly priced. Strength: Medium – Full | Shape: Corona | Wrapper: Habano | Origin: Nicaragua | Flavored: No | Pressed: No | Has Tip: No | Filler: Nicaraguan | Sweet: No Camacho Ecuador Toro So bold. So new, Yet, so Camacho. This blend really has it all, from an intriguing, invigorating flavor profile to a mix of well-chosen tobacco leaves. There’s an intensity to this medium to full-bodied handmade that makes it unforgettable. With an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper leaf, a Brazilian binder, and a blend of long fillers from Honduras and the Dominican, Camacho Ecuador is the total package. The flavors are thrilling, and include tones of pepper with light floral and citrus notes for balance. Go right ahead and light one up for yourself – you’ll be so glad you did. Strength: Medium – Full | Shape: Toro | Wrapper: Ecuador Habano | Origin: Honduras | Flavored: No | Pressed: No | Has Tip: No | Binder: Brazil | Filler: Dominican, Honduran | Sweet: No CAO Italia Ciao When one thinks of Italy, premium cigar tobacco is usually not the first thought. But for CAO, so accustomed to pushing the boundaries of flavor, this is where they discovered some very unique tobaccos. This particular tobacco is grown in the Benevento region of Italy and offers an enjoyable sweetness backed ever so slightly by a toasted earthiness. When combined with a lusciously dark Habano-seed wrapper leaf grown in Honduras and a select blend of fine filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and Peru, the result of this intricate 4-country blend is an incredibly rich, robust, and complex cigar. Strength: Medium – Full | Shape: Robusto | Wrapper: Habano Maduro | Origin: Nicaragua | Flavored: No | Pressed: No | Has Tip: No | Filler: Italian, Nicaraguan, Peruvian | Sweet: No Drew Estate Undercrown Corona Doble Drew Estate’s made a huge splash with their traditional Liga Privada #9. Drew Estate had to tell the rollers to stop burning the blend because of the high demand of the cigar. Created by the rollers of the Drew Estate factory, Undercrown uses tobaccos similar to the Liga Privada #9 but that are more readily available. While the Liga Privada #9 is a full flavored treat, the Undercrown is a little lighter on the palate.

  • The Fuente Family a Century and Still Going Strong by Frank Seltzer When a Family-Owned Business Makes It for 100 Years, It’S a Big Deal
The Fuente Family A Century and Still Going Strong by Frank Seltzer When a family-owned business makes it for 100 years, it’s a big deal. For the Fuentes, it’s even bigger because the road has been neither smooth nor easy. In fact, the family has endured many a setback, only to come back stronger than before. Next spring, the Fuentes will celebrate their history, and now refer to 2013 as “year one” of their family’s second century in the cigar business. The story begins in 1906 when 19-year-old Arturo Fuente left his home in Cuba for America. Like thousands of others, he arrived in Key West looking for opportunities in the wake of the Spanish-American War, which had left Cuba’s economy in shambles. He was soon rolling cigars in the area’s now-fading cigar operations… but he did not stay long. The remote locale offered precious little real estate, and the constant threat of !re forced cigarmakers to look elsewhere after a devastating blaze swept Key West in 1886. Vicente Martinez Ybor !nally settled in Tampa for its huge bay, proximity to the railroad, and favorable climate. There he created Ybor City, which would become one of America’s premier cigar-manufacturing areas. Within the year, young Arturo made his way up to West Tampa. Six years later in 1912, he made the very !rst cigars to bear his name. At age 25, he had his own three-story factory—A. Fuente & Co. It was one of several hundred cigar companies in the Tampa area during that time and crafted millions of cigars using Cuban tobacco.
