Other relatively new Acts that have significant implications for the planning process in Wales include that of the Environment (Wales) Act 2016 and Historic Environment (Wales) Act 2016. This Council will continue to look at embracing the move towards positive planning that the Planning Act prescribes.     Food hubs for families in need THE council is setting up four food hubs across Carmarthenshire for families in need. It means children who are entitled to free school meals will also receive dry food supplies to feed the whole family. The council has teamed up with Cross Hands-based food supplier Castell Howell to help families who may be experiencing financial difficulty as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. The food hubs are being piloted at four county secondary schools - Bryngwyn School in Llanelli, QE High School in Carmarthen, Ysgol Dyffryn Aman in Ammanford and Ysgol Dyffryn Taf in Whitland - from tomorrow Friday, March 27. They will be open Monday to Friday, between 9am and 11.30am and will be run by council staff who have been redeployed to help deliver essential services. If successful, the food hubs may be rolled out to other locations if successful.
