Compliance with the Rules of the Society, HSE Guidelines, Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes is required. In addition: 1. Exhibitors must use the segregated areas for livestock movement, loading and unloading where provided and when requested to do so. Exercising must not take place within any public areas. 2. Compliance with HSE Guidance Notes GS36 Safe Handling of Bulls is required. 3. Children must not be allowed to have control of large or fractious animals and all animals must be kept under the control of a capable and experienced person or persons. 4. All riders of horses or donkeys must wear an approved riding hat complying to standards BSEN 1384(1997), PAS 015(1998) or ASTMF 1163. 5. All portable generators, power equipment and cables must be protected by (a) 2 metre earthing rod or; (b) Residual Current Devices (RCD) set at no more than 30MA sensitivity. All cables and sockets must be adequately guarded for use. Use of power washers must be in compliance with HSE Guidance Note PM29. 6. The Society reserves the right to insist on immediate removal from the Show Field of any animal threatening the safety of any person or property. Major Emergency In the unlikely event of a major incident, return to your animals and listen carefully to any announcements being made. Important Notice for the Attention of all Trade Exhibitors The Society intends to provide a safe and healthy Show for all concerned and requires that Trade Exhibitors fully comply with their responsibilities. In addition, Trade Exhibitors are required to provide the Society with the following documents: • A Risk Assessment covering all their activities on the Showground (see note below) • Certificates of Public Liability insurance and, where appropriate, Employers’ Liability insurance (copies are sufficient but they must confirm cover to be in forice for the duration of your presence on the showground) In addition, compliance is required with the Rules of the Society and all relevant HSE guidelines, Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes.
