WElU TV Channel 51, Charleston, IL Good luck to the cast and crew! GREETINGS FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear Patrons: I'm sure that you are aware of the high theatrelicket prices charged in larger cities for the type of Broadway shows you see on our stage. Due to the size of our stage, we do not have casts as large as nor sets as elaborate as some other theatres, and, therefore, we are able to keep our ticket prices lower.

But the fact is, the ticket price does not cover the cost of our productions. Our earned income from ticket sales, advertising sales and concession sales last year accounted for just 91 % of operating costs. The remaining costs and any capital expenditures have to be funded from other sources. We do receive a sizeable grant for operations from the Illinois Arts Council (for which we are most grateful), but that still does not cover the deficit.

On page 21 of this booklet is a listing of patrons and businesses who make contributions to The Little Theatre On The Square. Their generosity allows us to keep our production values high while keeping the ticket prices affordable for as many people as possible. We are a non-profit entity so all donations are tax deductible if you itemize deductions. If you are not listed on page 21 please consider making a donation and joining the other "angels" of the theatre.

Sincerely, Wdd &hm Leonard A. Anderson Executive Director

Our Super Angels Certainly, our SUPREMEANGELS are Guy S. Atl'hem Center Of Our Community's Health www.dmhhs.com Weekdays 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Comments From the Artistic Director

Well, here it is... my 13th season as Artistic Director of The Little Theatre On The Square. In the theatre world, that's the equivalent of twelve winning NFL seasons!

Our "players", the acting company, get their highs from your ovations. The artistic staff gains satisfaction from seeing their artistic visions realized onstage. But, there are five people on The Little Theatre "team" that never get the kudos they deserve. So, this is my much overdue chance to formally say "thank you" for all the hard work, support and caring they have given me and The Little Theatre over the years.

First, there is LORI BEST, our Business Manager, who has loyally served The Little Theatre for 3 years! Singer, actress, confidante, friend,businesswoman--she is all this and more. And without her, we'd all be illegal aliens with no paychecks!

Then, there is LENNY ANDERSON, who joined The Little Theatre team 13years ago. With a bark bigger than his bite and a heart of gold (though don't let anyone know that!), Lenny is the Executive Director every Artistic Director dreams of-- always supportive of our artistic vision and always there to solve any crisis that might arise. Friend, comrade and mentor-- Lenny has been all these things to me.

Now in her myearat The Little Theatre, ARLENE LESZCZEWICZ has worn as many hats as she has consonants in her last name! Although her last name changed on April 29, to us she will always be "Arlene Alphabety'--the Ticket Office Manager who makes sure we have the necessities of life (pots, pans, sheets, towels and food on photo nights).

Then, there is our Marketing Director BRENDA ABBOTT who joined the team 5 years ago. Without her marketing support and expertise, The Little Theatre's audiences simply wouldn't have grown as fast as they have. So, when you see those tour buses pull up in front of the theatre or read an article about us in the papers or see us on TV;it is all thanks to Brenda.

Finally, there is our Ticket Office Manager of 4 years, BECKY ZIMMERMAN, who has brought a breath of fiesh air into our offices. Becky cares, deeply. She always takes time to ask how my ailing parents are; or slip freshly baked goodies on to my desk, or above all, brings a sense of humor into all our lives when we need it most.

So, this year, please join me in thanking LORI, LENNY, ARLENE, BRENDA and BECKY, the unsung champions of The Little Theatre's winning team. They have made my last 13 years here very special. My only regret is that it has taken me so long to formally recognize how important they are, both to me and The Little Theatre On The Square. by The Little Theatre On The Square
