AP17374PU-N Polyclonal Antibody to beta chain (N-term)

Alternate names: FGB, FIBB Quantity: 0.4 ml Concentration: lot specific Background: FIBB is the beta component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein comprised of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains. Following vascular injury, fibrinogen is cleaved by thrombin to form fibrin which is the most abundant component of blood clots. In addition, various cleavage products of fibrinogen and fibrin regulate cell adhesion and spreading, display vasoconstrictor and chemotactic activities, and are mitogens for several cell types. Mutations in its lead to several disorders, including afibrinogenemia, , hypodysfibrinogenemia and thrombotic tendency. Uniprot ID: P02675 NCBI: NP_005132 GeneID: 2244 Host: Rabbit Immunogen: KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the N-terminal region of human FIBB Format: State: Liquid Ig fraction Purification: Prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS Buffer System: PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide Applications: Western blot: 1:50~100. ELISA: 1:1,000. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. Specificity: This antibody detects FIBB at N-term. Species Reactivity: Tested: Human Add. Information: Molecular weight: 55928 Da Storage: Store the antibody at 2 - 8 °C up to one month or (in aliquots) at -20 °C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. General Readings: 1. Sun,A., Acta Cardiol 64 (3), 357-361 (2009). 2. Guo,X., Neurol. Res. 31 (4), 381-384 (2009).
