    PRESS RELEASE MIES, 19/08/2021 FOR MORE INFORMATION: ISABELLE LARIVIÈRE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER [email protected] TEL +41 22 950 95 68 FIM Grand Prix World Championship 2021 calendar, UPDATE 19 August Malaysian GP cancelled and replaced by a Grand Prix at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports regret to announce the cancellation of the Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix, which was set to take place at Sepang International Circuit from the 22nd to the 24th of October. The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting entry restrictions for Malaysia oblige the cancellation of the event. The FIM MotoGP™ World Championship looks forward to returning to Sepang in 2022 to race in front of our dedicated Malaysian fans. The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports are pleased to confirm that MotoGP™ will return to Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from the 22nd to the 24th of October, the weekend previously scheduled for the Malaysian GP, for a second Grand Prix at the classic Italian track. The name of this event will be announced in due course.     30th September 2019 Press Release n. 96 European Supersport Cup 600: Kyle Smith wins the 2019 FIM Europe Supersport Cup Kyle Smith (Team Pedercini Racing) was able to clinch the 2019 FIM Europe Supersport Cup title at Circuit de Nevers Magny Cours in France following a year of intense battle in the ever-competitive series. 2019 had a positive start for Smith that at the first round of the season in Aragón was able to finish inside the top ten, crossing the line in ninth position. But after a strong beginning, the British rider had to experience more difficulties when he headed to The Netherlands seven days later. With the severe weather conditions and the cold temperatures at the TT Circuit Assen, Smith had a tough weekend, and after having qualified sixteenth on the grid, he crashed out in the race while he was fighting for points. Cheered by the Italian fans, Smith scored points in Imola finishing thirteenth, but the same he couldn’t do in Jerez as in a frantic second lap in the race, he crashed out and couldn’t rejoin the race. The FIM Europe Supersport Cup headed back to Italy for Round 7 at Misano World Circuit, but after a good start in the race, Smith eventually dropped down in nineteenth position. Misfortune continued for the British rider, as at his home round at Donington Park a technical issue put an early end to his weekend. Determined to end his 2019 season on a high, Smith returned strong and confident on the Portuguese asphalt after nearly two months of summer break at Portimao.

    MODENA CENTO ORE 2021 the 21st edition comes to a close! 1000 kilometres and 100 hours to mark the 21st anniversary. These are the numbers of the Modena Cento Ore 2021, which took the crews from Rimini to Florence and Forte dei Marmi before they finally reached Modena. • Races were held at four circuits: the Misano World Circuit, the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit in Imola, the Mugello Circuit, and Modena Circuit. • 9 special uphill stages explored the most beautiful roads throuGh the Apennines in central and northern Italy • 9 average speed trials • 1 Super special stage on the racetrack • 14 car manufacturers represented • 4 cities where the legs of the rally arrived • 90% of participants came from abroad, confirming that the Modena Cento Ore ranks as one of the most international events in the sector • 0 residual emissions of C02 • More than 600 people were involved in the event, includinG the orGanisers, staff, sports personnel, timekeepers, photographers, cameramen... Although the pandemic caused a few organisational headaches, leadinG to turmoil in the loGistics “on the go”, the participants were able to truly enjoy a few days of "drivinG freedom”. The Cars Some of the cars taking part in the Modena Cento Ore 2021 certainly deserve a mention for their wonderful past, often makinG history in sportinG terms. Without a shadow of a doubt, the cars that drew the most admirinG looks were the 1960 and 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Competitions driven by Martin and Susanne Halusa and Adrian and Nicholas Beecroft. Not only do they rank among the most important collector's items in the world, they have both a history of racinG and outstanding results.
