February7, 2019 Toyota Motor Corporation GAZOO Racing Company TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Outlines 2019 Motorsports Activities TOYOTA GAZOO Racing is a racing company positioning motorsports activities as the basis of our quest to create ever-better cars. From products developed through these activities to the establishment of the GR Garage, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing’s motorsports activities have been promoted as a comprehensive method of increasing numbers of car fans. At last month’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit, we unveiled the new “Supra,” which is set to become the first global model in the GR series line-up. The new Supra incorporates the knowledge and know-how that TOYOTA GAZOO Racing has accumulated thus far, and has been developed with the goal of enabling customers to fully experience the joy of driving. We have positioned the new Supra as our flagship model and, by feeding back knowledge gained through motorsports activities into the development of new products, we intend to further expand the GR series line-up. In 2018, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing achieved the long-desired goal of winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans and also secured the WRC manufacturers’ title, demonstrating that the challenges we have embarked on are leading to concrete results. However, we will not rest on our laurels. In order to deliver the anticipation and excitement of driving to a wider audience, we will engage in the motorsports activities listed below in 2019. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing will compete in the 2019-2020 WEC season. (The driver line-up will be announced at a later date.)With team line-ups, we will also compete in the Nürburgring 24 Hours Endurance Race and other races in Japan respectively. -

Review of ELV Exemption 5 From the view of lithium-ion battery makers and experts 2014-December-17 Question 1: Please explain whether the use of lead in the application addressed under Exemption 5 of the ELV Directive is still unavoidable so that Art. 4(2)(b)(ii) of the ELV Directive would justify the continuation of the exemption. Please clarify what types of vehicles your answer refers to, i.e., conventional vehicles and various types of hybrid and electric vehicles and which functionalities are covered (starting, ignition, lighting and other points of consumption). The use of lead in batteries is potentially avoidable and definitely reducible in most conventional passenger vehicles by the adoption of emerging energy storage technologies. 12V lithium-ion batteries are in fact already in series production for automotive OEMs in Europe and across the world and are projected to increase in volume over the next decade mostly due to regulatory drivers related to vehicle emissions reduction. The European Commission has set emissions targets [European Commission, http://ec.europa.eu/environment/air/transport/road.htm , as of 28 Oct 2014] for which major fuel saving technologies are required. Hybrid and electric vehicles have received the most attention for yielding aggressive improvement in emissions. However consumer adoption rates of these vehicle types have been slow and therefore automakers have been forced to identify other fuel saving technologies that have less impact on the consumer and are more economically viable across the vehicle portfolio. A new, smaller form of vehicle electrification called the micro-hybrid is expected to fill this gap. -

The main purpose of this document is to provide an overview of advanced battery energy storage technologies available currently or in development for heavy‐duty, bus and truck, applications. The same set of parameters, such as energy density, power density, lifecycle and weight were used in review of the specific battery technology solution. The important performance requirements for energy storage solutions from the vehicle perspective were reviewed and the basic advantages of different cell chemistries for vehicle batteries were summarized. A list of current battery technologies available for automotive applications is provided. -

PREFACE This volume includes data which the author has found and recorded on the ancestry and descendants of William Henrie, the “heir” and progenitor of the Henrie families of Utah. Much time and effort have been expended in the stupendous task of compiling this history. It seems to have been the custom of members of the general Henry family, in Scotland and elsewhere, to write the surname as “Henarie,” as Michael, the emigrant ancestor from Scotland, signed his name. Other common ways of spelling the name were “Hendry,” “Henery,” “Henry,” and “Henrie.” In America, there are thirty-two various spellings of the name. Host of the later records in this book, genealogical and biographical, were received from members of the family. The data were conscientiously checked and compared with every available source; but it is difficult to write history covering the activities and biographies of different members of any family and not have some part of it conflict with that written by others, no matter how painstakingly the material has been gathered. Family history is interesting, but not always accurate. If there are errors, it is hoped that the family will not disdain to appreciate the product as a whole. If more apace has been devoted to one individual than another, it is because more information was submitted. -
