B E Project STUDIES ON WATER QUALITY OF NAG RIVER FLOWING THROUGH NAGPUR: In my BE Project work I worked on the determination of the various Water Quality Parameters of Nag River that flows through Nagpur. During my BE Research Project, in 2014, various campaigns and other regimes were launched by the urban and local bodies of the Nagpur that garnered attention for the cleaning of Nag River. So I and my group decided to put forth a small contribution in this initiative by a small contribution of technical research. For this we identified 6 sampling locations via google earth and collected the water Samples and tested for various parameters in pertinent to it and also made a comparative analysis based on it. M.Tech Dissertation RISK ASSESSMENT OF A WATER SUPPLY SCHEME: A CASE STIDY IN DOMBIVLI: In my M.tech Dissertation I Qualitatively analyzed the various risks associated with the present Water Supply Scheme that supplies water to the Whole Dombivli City in Mumbai. For carraying out my research I formulated questionnaires to collect via google forms for stakeholders related to this schme. After collecting the responses to the questionnaire, I formulated the risk matrix based on these responses and found that the Risks associated in the Distribution system was found to be more than the other components of the water supply scheme. Most of the sales take place on credit. Majority of sales (48%) takes place before sowing of kharif, as banana and Cotton are major crops of this area. 50% of surveyed dealers deals in national/multinational branded products 36% deal in local brands and 14% deals keep both the local and national brands to meet different requirements of market. Under the present investigation it was found that most of the dealers are unsatisfied with theplacement re policy of micro irrigation companies and brand price, quality and past experience are the major factors the purchase of drip irrigation. Bhole Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Arts and Science College Ainpur Dist.- Jalgaon (M.S.) Introduction – Age structure of population in a region is a demographic attribution of a social group. It is necessary to understand its role in the analysis of migration and population growth. A high percentage of juvenile and senile population indicates the burden on the working groups and it is an indicator of a less developed society. In Jalgaon district 38.81 % Muslim population were juvenile 56.27 % adult and 4.92% senile. Study Region – Jalgaon is one of the thirty-five districts of Maharashtra situated at the northern most border of the state. It is apart of east while region of Bombay presidency. Jalgaon district lies in the North Westpart of Maharashtra state lying between 200 and 210 north latitude and 74055’ and 76028’ east longitude is located in the Tapi river basin stretching nearly 128 kms. Along the river and varying in the breadth from 112 kms. To 144 kms. It covers an area of the jalgaon district is 11765.00 sq.kms. Which constitute 3.82 % of the total area of the state. Patil College, Deopur, Dhule *Author for Correspondence ABSTRACT The present research paper deals with threat status of flowering plants assessed in forest of Jalgaon district (M.S) India, according to IUCN guidelines. During the course of investigation during 2011-2015 in the forest of Jalgaon district extensive and intensive field survey was conducted. Some plants not only showed restricted distribution but also appeared endangered, Vulnerable, and near threatened. The causes of threatened species are studied. Conservation strategies are also suggested. The area explored during study is restricted to Jalgaon district especially to Pal, Wadoda, Yawal region. The forest is dry deciduous type. Total 81 species of flowering plants are evaluated and placed in the threat categories. Out of the 81 plant species, 5 are critically endangered are enlisted. The species are Ceropegia hirsuta Wight, Commiphora wighitii (Arn.) Bhandari. Curcuma aromatica Salisb., Olea dioca Roxb., Rauwoifia serpentina (L.). Science, Shri Sant Gadge Baba College of Engg. &Technology, Bhusawal, Dist Jalgaon (India) _____________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT The study area under investigation, Muktainagar is located towards eastern part of Jalgaon district in Maharashtra state. The area is lying between 21°03’08” North latitude 76°03’18”East longitudes. This area is facing a problem of water scarcity. In India the water availability, quality and quantity differs. The chemical quality of water is of great importance as it determines the suitability for specific use whether it is for drinking, domestic or for agriculture use. To study the hydrochemical nature of the water used for drinking purpose, a collective 51 samples of ground water were collected during May 2012. Analytical reports were compared with World Health Organization. Ground water from this area is very hard in nature. The qualities of ground water were found to be deteriorated predominantly due to overexploitation and anthropogenic activities. The outcome of this work will be helpful for the local population to understand the qualitative behavior for specific use to create a healthy eco friendly environment among themselves.
