www.chetanracing.com Chetan Korada was born in Rajahmundry, a town in Andhra Pradesh on 14,November,1985. Having been born with a deformity during birth, Chetan underwent bi-lateral amputation at a very tender age under medical advice. Racing has been his dream since the time he came to terms with prosthetic limbs as a part of his life. It has evolved into a passion where he saw himself evolving into a successful international racing champion and screaming out loud that nothing can stop you if you truly are for your dreams. Chetan Korada has been mentally prepared since the age of 3 on how to handle pain. While he was made to walk with wooden legs back then (also known as Jaipur foot) his bleeding knees never stopped his mother to teach walking with his prosthetics . Due to this training, he has fully accepted Pain just as a state of mind. He has been a very active kid in sports during his schooling in The School, Krishnamurthy Foundation of India, Chennai. Sports has been his love ever since . After that there was no looking back. His endurance in doing race after race in every series has been on a steady level due to the kind of conditioning he has from such a young age. He trains himself on par with regular racing drivers . In 2007, he got his first opportunity to make his dream into reality when he competed in Formula racing in JK Tyre Junior Cup. He has grown the ladder ever since with consistency with recently being the only driver from India in the International series of MRF International Challenge 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 championship. His uniqueness lies in being the first and only differently abled driver not only in India but all over Asia. He also holds the distinction of being the only differently abled driver to have won a race without any modification his car at all. ACHIEVEMENTS 2020: Chetan made his debut into saloon car racing through MRF Saloon series 2020 despite a long Gap after the lock down he went out to claim 2 wins and 1 second place out of 6 races during the month of November in MMRT, Chennai. He also finished 3rd over all in the series. Chetan was nominated by FMSCI for the grant from FIA Disability commission & accessibility commission and was well responded. He carried the logos of FIA D&A for the 2020 series. He was also featured in FIA’s official social media page . 2020: MRF Challenge 2019-20 (Chennai round) *Only Indian Nationality driver in the series This race was witnessed by a phenomenal crowd for the first time. Over 3000 spectators came over From all around India to cheer the only Indian racer, Chetan who astonished the crowd with his marvellous Endurance and competitive spirit. 2019: MRF Challenge 2019-20 (Dubai & Bahrain) *Only Indian Nationality driver in the series Chetan impressed the MRF team with his Improved understanding of the new car in a very short span of time which is not an easy task at all Formula Master testing (4 days-Malaysia) with Team Eurasia 2018 FIA F4 SEA (Round 4) Euro JK National racing championship –Formula BMW 02 MRF FMSCI National racing championship –Formula MRF 1600 Formula Masters Asia 2018 Testing program at Sepang, Malaysia - 2 Days MRF CHALLENGE 2018-19 ( Dubai, Bahrain, Chennai) He got through the selection and began his international racing journey being the only Indian Racing Driver to compete with other racing drivers from all over the World doing 60 laps each round in a week with gradual increase in his timing consistently 2017: In this year, Chetan became the Formula MRF 1600 National champion second runner up in the MRF FMSCI national racing championship 2017 with a valiant feat of 5 podium finishes. 2016: The veteran racer was preferred for being the Instructor for TATA Prima truck racing program. He also competed in the MRF National racing championship in Classes Formula MRF 1600 and Super Saloons. 2015: In the year of 2015, he was the MRF FMSCI National Racing Runner-up Champion (Class: Formula 1300 ) and also competed in the Formula 1600 series in the MRF FMSCI National racing championship 2015. In the latter part of his racing life, Chetan took the role of Instructor for Nissan PS3 GT Academy, India. 2014: By participating in the MRF FMSCI National racing Championship (Class-Formula 1300) in the year of 2014, Chetan completed the round 1 of the racing championship with 2 X 3rd-place finishes. He finished 4th out of 24 finalists (From 5790 Entries) in the Mercedes Benz Younger Star Driver Challenge (Class- Mercedes Benz C220 & Mercedes CLA 45 AMG). 2013: In this year, Chetan went on to participate in the JK Tyre Rotax max national championship which was followed by the participation in JK Tyre racing series (Class-Formula 4 LGB). The ardent racer also participated in the final round of the MRF FMSCI National racing Championship with a 3rd-place finish, during the same year. 2012: In 2012, he participated in the JK Tyre FMSCI National racing Championship (Class-Formula 4 LGB) & in the Formula 1 Support races in the JK Racing Asia series held in Buddh International Circuit (Class-Formula BMW) He was the MMS Mini Enduro winner (Class-9BHP Karts) for the same year. 2011: During 2011, Chetan participated in the JK Tyre Junior cup with 3 X 3rd, 2 X 1st Place and 1 X 2nd-place finishes. (Class-FISSME). The memorable moment in the history of his racing career happened as he made a legendary finish on 1st place in Round 4 in the JK Tyre FMSCI National racing championship (Class-Formula LGB Swift 1300cc), starting from 12th on the grid out of 24 race cars. He was the runner up at the Kart1 racing event Recg. by FMSCI (Class-4 stroke-9 BHP Karts), during the same year. 2010: In 2010, Chetan took part in the JK Tyre Junior cup (Class-FISSME), and finished the race with 2X 3rd, 1 X 1st Place and 1 X 2nd place. 2009: This year saw a turn in Chetan’s racing career, as he made 5 wins and 1 second place out of 6 races in the MMSC Summer Cup Champion 2009(Class-FISSME) adding a feather to his crown of winning. Attended Race training program with Meco Motorsports under the training of former F3 champion Akbar Ebrahim. 2008: Chetan went on to participate in 3 races of the MMSC Summer Cup, which gained him a 3rd-place finish. (Class- Formula Maruti/FISSME-800cc) In the same year, he took part in the JK Tyre junior cup and completed the series with three 3rd place finishes. (Class- FISSME) 2007: In the former part of his racing career, Chetan participated in Round 2 of JK Tyre National racing championship 2007. His prosthetic limbs in no way affected his ability to drive the car and he deserves all the support he can receive.
